QUOTE(leechers @ Dec 9 2012, 11:23 PM) i would like a recommendation on where to stay in KL. i prefer hotel that is nearby lowyat plaza, and also walking distance from LRT station. and also a medium-luxurious hotel, not a budget or cheap hotel. Google maps will give you an idea of hotels in that location. Wotif agoda etc. can you give you an idea of pricing.

What is medium luxurious? Your budget? Quite a few 3* ones along Changkat BB Alor area.

Hello, i need a simple room, for up to 3 weeks, I want a budget room (single or double bed, no twin), NO dorm, no AC, no TV, no nothing, just a fan, and a bed, in a small, clean room, with free WIFI in the room (important). Bathroom outside OK. Preferably if around the room, or hallway is quiet at day, or night (also important). My budget for a private room is about 30MYR/$10USD/night. If you know of such a place, could you please share the name, or website, so i can inquire with the manager. Here are some i already found but just to be sure I'd like to contact a few more to find the right place for me. Thanks. http://www.centrallodge.net/index.php/room-rateshttp://www.backpackerskl.com/roomsandrates.htmhttp://www.grocersinn.com.my/services.html

I want to travel to Melaka soon. I've heard from my friend that a homestay will be much more enjoyable experience than staying in a small hotel. Since i'm going together with 6-8 friends, so i think it will be a better idea if i book a homestay. Anyone have any recommendation regarding homestay at melaka?

SJ_WU : i would suggest that you check out Sunflower house from this link sunflower house. they have roughly around 26 units, all clean and comfortable with very reasonable price. i stayed there the last time i visited melaka and i was very satisfied with it; also you may check out this link homestay at melaka ; that was where i found sunflower house, they have a list of homestays in melaka so maybe you can choose from it to better suit your needs. have fun visiting melaka, i had...
