this is why i sold my D600 and bought the D800. but it turns out, my D800's a lemon copy. the middle AF point needs AF fine tune, the left and the right points also needs, just that in different values. im so tulan about this so i sell it too and bought another D3s. wanted to buy a D4 but im still not confident about the XQD card and i also heard that there's focusing system flaws.

probably u guys are saying, why not adjust the AF fine tune on the D800 right? yes i can. but its giving me inconsistent results throughout the range of the subject and i got a D90, 2xD700, D3, D3s before, and none of em is giving me this problem.

i love nikon's image quality, build quality, their lenses are super sharp, but maybe im not gonna be a beta tester for the time being (actually, i already did ). im giving it a year to see how nikon handles this.

fotokem are trying to clear remaining stocks of D5100 before the D5200 arrives sometime dec / jan.
the D5200 arguably can be called a mini D7000...and definitely better than either D3200 or D5100.
since ur going next yr, no harm waiting a month or two more.

it seems that nikon msia can fix the D800's AF issues edi!

bro, learn the basics first. actually the basics = logic. very very easy to learn.

ISO, shutter speed, aperture. master these things first then get into the other stuffs. do u have a fren who can teach u? looks like u do. learn with ur fren, shooting is fun, really fun!

yup but when i fine tuned the middle point really good, then subject within 1meter will be perfect, but further than that will be out of focus. read this somewhere someone had the same prob. nikon did claim that the D800/E's sensor is very demanding. i mean, look at the quality it can give la so superb!
