maybe its being over-worked.

Its a 88L, I checked with another friend of mine using 88L... his unit also struggling to get to 45%. Oh well... maybe its the weather too humid the evaporator can't work :S

this is why i sold my D600 and bought the D800. but it turns out, my D800's a lemon copy. the middle AF point needs AF fine tune, the left and the right points also needs, just that in different values. im so tulan about this so i sell it too and bought another D3s. wanted to buy a D4 but im still not confident about the XQD card and i also heard that there's focusing system flaws.

probably u guys are saying, why not adjust the AF fine tune on the D800 right? yes i can. but its giving me inconsistent results throughout the range of the subject and i got a D90, 2xD700, D3, D3s before, and none of em is giving me this problem.

i love nikon's image quality, build quality, their lenses are super sharp, but maybe im not gonna be a beta tester for the time being (actually, i already did sweat.gif ). im giving it a year to see how nikon handles this.

This can be fixed by Nikon Msia isn't it?

sure got.
i guess this will be somewhat a mini-D4...seeing as how both D600 and D800 dont fill that niche.

fotokem are trying to clear remaining stocks of D5100 before the D5200 arrives sometime dec / jan.
the D5200 arguably can be called a mini D7000...and definitely better than either D3200 or D5100.
since ur going next yr, no harm waiting a month or two more.

24MP, APS-C, 8fps? Good stuff for motorsport shooters! Or people who needs the extra reach but can't afford big lens (like me LOL)

Tip for photohunt, bring your smallest most compact Nikon camera would do... cause there's nothing 'photography' about it. Lots of walking definitely thus a light set up would be good. Something that could zoom easily so at times no need cross road to get the shot haha!

This is probably main reason I bought Nikon Msia set... for this calibration argh... previously I was getting 'mixed' results probably because not enough light on the target... but now got LED light hehehe going to try again later!

Just got a reply from Nikon on my D800 AF issue, seems like they are aware of this issue actually. I called them up to see if I squeeze it to be done in a day but guess now sad.gif Need 3-4 days for this to be done. Haih.

Alright, D800 and D800E owners best to check your unit for AF issue! I verified my D800 + another D800 + another D800E just now... all affected with left AF.

bro, learn the basics first. actually the basics = logic. very very easy to learn.

ISO, shutter speed, aperture. master these things first then get into the other stuffs. do u have a fren who can teach u? looks like u do. learn with ur fren, shooting is fun, really fun! thumbup.gif
mine last time left and also middle sweat.gif

Sounds like your right having issue instead if you AF fine tune to center tongue.gif left and center back focus... then right good?

yup smile.gif but when i fine tuned the middle point really good, then subject within 1meter will be perfect, but further than that will be out of focus. read this somewhere someone had the same prob. nikon did claim that the D800/E's sensor is very demanding. i mean, look at the quality it can give la tongue.gif so superb!
why need to slap his friend? his friend is right wat? to avoid noise stay at low iso. just dont be afraid la. no need slap2 people ma smile.gif

Which is why the AF module alignment etc is very critical for D800's 36MP sensor... I'm getting mixed results when hand held but when I shoot on tripod and with sufficient lighting, the left AF is always slightly back focused!

Going to try with a target chart today...without moving my target/camera left and right like I'm doing.

http://photokaz.com/2012/07/nikon-d800-con...ofocus-testing/

According to a blog... Nikon uses this kind of test chart for verification... guess its to check different positions of AF points?

So I got a little paranoid and started testing my D800 once again... just to confirm if its really having issues or not cause I was getting mixed results when handheld.. but once on tripod and used timer for trigger it seems like yes got issue sad.gif
