if u dont have films also, u can gatal2 click the shutter right? so u wont get the accurate count la

The upper spine is out of the focused dof(depth of field) liao. You have to stop down a little to get it sharp or back up a bit.

When you're shooting close up or the closer you get, the DOF becomes more shallow.
The lens focal length is also one of the factor, if you're using telephoto and shooting closeup, the DOF will be more shallow.
