QUOTE(cahayamalamku @ Jan 14 2013, 09:33 AM) just got my 2013's 1.6SX Titanium Silver on 12012013 from 070. already clocked around 465km so far. always maintaining < 3000rpm. currently got 7.7l/100km. the fastest speed i have drove only 125km/h at Lebuhraya Pantai Timur. very stable on highway. very confident in cornering at Karak Highway. really can feel the stock tyres 'menggigit jalan' Try changing all tires to better ones from upmarket range.. lagi menggigit jalan, lagi selesa oooo.. twice the confidence from the stock tires.. lagi happy ooo.. NO rattling dashboard sound. NO sound from either front doors. NO pulling left or right. so far so good |

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Jan 14 2013, 09:56 AM) you dont stop start at traffic light or junction frequently lah .. try get into city and stop start manytimes .... you can easily achieve 10-12L/100KM .. heeeheeeheee. Don't mind me to correct you.. I really feel geram when people referring on vehicle engine capacity 1.6 litre as 1.6cc..yes. The stock tyres and rim is really suck... Very dissapointed. You can see we all here discuss a lot here. When friends found 1.6 cc but pasang with 17" rim, one word they give to me "Siao" ..... Lagi teruk give the paliah tyres. Give smaller rim with better quality tyre.. then will be perfect. either you should mention 1.6 litre.. or 1,600cc.. faham mou.. ?? |

QUOTE(boxter @ Jan 14 2013, 11:18 AM) thanks for your valuable input. rims ar.. not much experience about it.. i wouldn't change rims so often..how about stock rim? any comment abt that? and what brand you recommend? to me changing rims are like throwing money into the sea while the ori rims can be used and in good condition.. most important and significant is tires quality.. that's why I will purchase the correct tires after car purchase and when tires due to change.. perhaps if you guys felt 17" is underpowered or sluggish paired with 1.6 litre engine, can give it a try to use 15" rims.. i'm wokay with 17" because 2.0 engine has enough torque.. i remembered years ago I owned Waja EV.. which using stock 16" trims.. acceleration was quite "heavy" and hesitant compared with std Waja.. saving grace was high speed 140km/h feels planted on ground and less strained on the NVH compared to Waja with 15" stock rims.. QUOTE(ddsu @ Jan 14 2013, 11:46 AM) hallo all! you were saying you're using 25°C A/C with cabin air recycling mode, air blowing body + leg mode ?I'm experiencing something weird with my A/C. Say i set the temp to 25c and didnt run A/C on auto mode since i hate air from outside coming in. I noticed the A/C at front leg room not so cool as the main outlet. infact it feel bit warm. When i reduce the temp, i can feel bit cool down there but not for long. Anyone having the same problem?? is it normal? |

QUOTE(ddsu @ Jan 14 2013, 12:13 PM) correct mr ah_bear. I missed the terms zit?lol.. I am not technician, but I can describe to you why is that..air blowing to the leg feel bit warm. shouldn't it be the same as air blowing to body? 25-26°C is consider room temperature.. therefore, if you are on leg blowing mode, the A/C auto climate system will adjust to blow abit warm air to your feet so you could feel more comfortable instead blowing warm air to your face and body which can make your body feel stuffy.. your case is obvious when outside temperature at 25-26°C early in the morning or rainy weather.. theoretically, in South Korea winter chilly weather, people would set the leg blowing mode to MAX heater first when get inside the car to heat up the chilling legs.. when your feet is warm, automatically your body feel comfortable and body won't shivering.. getting in the car during winter weather -10°C its not ideal to straight hot air to the cold face.. will catch flu and sick easily.. that's what my UK and South Korean friends advised me.. in conclusion, Forte Auto Climate A/C system adjust to the cabin set temperature while keeping occupants as comfy as possible inside.. |

QUOTE(kidmad @ Jan 14 2013, 12:28 PM) .. 25C is about the same with room temperature.. lower down the temperature la if you want cold air. correct.. Forte A/C system is not the same as locally assembled Toyota..Toyota Altis tipu orang wan.. set to 25°C but still blowing icy cold air and ah pek and ah soh will go like praising.. "wahhhhh.. Toyota car damn good leh.. so comfort and so powerful the A/C" Cars which comes with heater air.. should set to 22°C at least to compensate our Malaysian burning hot climate to be feel really comfortable.. |

QUOTE(ddsu @ Jan 14 2013, 02:38 PM) same thing if i put 20c also kuah.. that's the case i mentioned about winter season temp set at 28C above.. try hit the 'auto' button and max the temperature.. it will blow only leg full blast with heat air..the problem is, leg air blowing are cold when i turn on A/C. only after few minutes it will get warmer. so i think the theory about heating up the chilling legs is not very accurate for my situation here. if my legs are really cold when i get inside car then i turn A/C and it starts to blow cool air for the first few minutes my legs will shiver man. its like terbalik la for my A/C. suppose it will warm your legs and then starts to adjust according to whole cabin's temp.. right? in Malaysia.. try set temp to 20°C at all times for few days and observe.. if after awhile vents at the leg area begin to blow warm air at 20°C set temp still.. bring your car to SC to inspect your A/C system.. |

QUOTE(diaBoliQu3 @ Jan 14 2013, 10:13 PM) Hey guys... I currently searching for my first car. As a person with RM 3k salary, RM 80k (the lowest spec) for a car are really a big amount for me. This car will be a family car and I have no intention to sell and buy. Just drive as long as I can. if you think Forte costs a really big amount of money to you.. I suggest you to look for other cars options which don't break your bank..So, I want to ask Forte owner at Miri and Kuching, how is the after sale service for Forte? 5 years unlimited warranty (T&C) are really attractive and sound promising. I know this car have a place at West Malaysia but I'm not sure how Forte perform at East Malaysia and I wish someone could share with me their experience with me. And oh yeah, how much is your interest rate and your deposit with monthly payment. and do more test drive on each models that you're targeting.. and in case if you did that and you liked the Forte the most.. Forte to me is a well done car, probably the best choice of C Segment for me if you're looking for comfy, good interior space and easy to drive car. I just kinda disappointed some Kia Service branch in West Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur).. inefficient way to assist customers and lack of knowledge.. perhaps I should try the other better ones which buddies here suggested to me for next service.. Please calculate your overall expenses and make sure you won't overspend too much for a car. Consider some hidden expenses for maintaining the car for years too. And Kia Rio is also a great looking car and roomy enough to ferry a small family around. Hopefully it will sell maximum RM68k.. This post has been edited by Ah_Bear: Jan 14 2013, 10:44 PM |
