QUOTE(g88 @ Jan 2 2013, 06:09 PM) WWL..Added on January 2, 2013, 11:14 pm QUOTE(theringbearer74 @ Jan 2 2013, 04:49 PM) This one is Naza Kia Setapak SC right? Yes bro.. i just made a complaint to Naza customer service, the fella suggest me to go to Setapak SC. so far while my Forte inside their workshop for a week, they managed to correct all the wirings and O2 sensor, replaced new ECU and replaced solenoid valve all under warranty.. and SA asked me to drive and observe my car for a week if problem check light comes back, have to call the SA to order new throttle body part to replaced.. fingers crossed nothing stupid will happen to my car again except all general wear and tear.. P/S: feels so good to drive back my own car.. even my mum's company car Corolla Altis (1.8E) n my superior's Estima doesn't feel that good to drive (engine coarse, less power) This post has been edited by Ah_Bear: Jan 2 2013, 11:14 PM |

QUOTE(brainz07 @ Jan 2 2013, 11:16 PM) My friend send his car to NAZA Selayang for 3 days claiming the rattling sound.. now his problem solved. He ask the tech to be gentle during open the dashboard..xmau calar if not claim new dashboard My A/C has that sound too when turned on.. there is also quite soft "crok" sound as you turn the temperature knob to adjust temperature.. other cars didn't behave like this though..He also told the problem about the imbalance cornering..then they changed his suspension to new one..very syiokk..will put in my list to send there for warranty claim My car has the 'clacking sound' for a while after starting car..then its ok but i can heard metal sound if turn ON the air cond..is it the sound come from the compressor?? QUOTE(g88 @ Jan 3 2013, 12:51 AM) This is NORMAL as Forte is a 'GLOBAL' model car where it has HEATER (for winter country), the sound that you mentioned is the FLAP that open/close which alot amount of HOT/COLD air passing thru your air vent.... yeap white colour.. you work there.. ?? Added on January 3, 2013, 12:52 am WWL 1xxx ? White colour right ? Hmm.... I assume the air-cond thingy is normal.. I also realise driver side air-vents blow warmer air compare to front passenger side if temperature set to 23C above.. ok for me because I don't like chilly air while I'm driving.. eyes will kering.. |

QUOTE(g88 @ Jan 3 2013, 09:56 AM) Wait.. how do you know that car is mine.. ?? I don't wanna fix that.. if not I will get face freeze while driving.. too bad Forte doesn't have dual climate control A/C.. that's why I've chosen Sportage as second option while surveying new car.. |

QUOTE(ddsu @ Jan 5 2013, 03:04 PM) Using my car for 10 days. 2 things want to ask: Your issue no. 1.. I've mentioned on the prev thread.. notice beneath the boot there are 2 black rubber plugs/knobs.. ? with tiny little arrow sign.. ? you can turn or twist both of it clockwise direction using your hand so that it lowers the distance from the bumper and boot latch (easier or less effort to push boot down to close).. turn them counterclockwise if u prefer more push downforce to close the boot.. make sure both position are equal and both side boot gaps are aligned with the rear taillamp..1. My carboot little bit hard to close. Is it normal for new forte or it just mine. The sound also not as padu as closing persona m-line carboot 2. Power window (driver side only) having this "clack" sound when i try to pull the switch after the window is fully shut Your issue no. 2. where did the sound exactly comes from.. ? the upper window or internal door panel? Added on January 6, 2013, 1:33 pm QUOTE(aming @ Jan 5 2013, 03:26 PM) driven my car for 5 days.. so far so good.. everything is fine.. noticed my car acceleration is much quieter and torquey than before, lighter steering, 5% better FC..the cause of defectives are the wirings to ECU.. they've fixed that.. changed to a new ECU, solenoid valve under warranty.. with a free car wash.. Hehe.. My faith on Naza Kia service = Restored 50% Added on January 6, 2013, 1:34 pm QUOTE(rompers @ Jan 6 2013, 01:54 AM) Guys, when you receive your brand new Forte, is the foot/floor mat emblazoned with the KIA or Forte logo? you dowan to make fren with me meh.. QUOTE(SoulReaver @ Jan 6 2013, 02:32 PM) Lets have one! Ask epo start a list rear view camera thingy.. I took down the insulation board and use plasticin and masking tape sealed around the plug and socket.. and taped the camera wiring onto the boot metal securely.. because I realised when I'm using the boot very often (open and close) the wiring will shakes hence loosen up the plug on socket connection..Added on January 6, 2013, 2:34 pm Just noticed my rear view camera stared to "sot" edi... I don't have the tools to open the back portion to tighten up the wiring >.<.. Have to send to SC edi... Zzz now my rear view camera image stays sharp and clear without any flickering all the time.. hehe.. ! if send to SC I think they won't even give any effort to fix it properly.. |

QUOTE(Devotee @ Jan 8 2013, 09:24 PM) Need some guidance from all the sifus here. I found that the gear knob area ( so called center console,i guess) tends to become hot after drive (when i place my hand to feel it). It feels warm to be exact. Is this normal? Every Forte is the same.. we assumed this is normal for a Forte.. but not normal case for other cars.. |

QUOTE(drcoolz @ Jan 8 2013, 10:43 PM) Is the forte good? So far any major maintenance that you worry? Because im going to purchase a 2nd car. Hope you can tell me more about it. I have test drove it, i find it strong and really want to know more. Especially the spare parts issue. Have you encounter any? Forte is covered under 5 years warranty with UNLIMITED KMs mileage.. so far my 9 months old car only claimed ECU and solenoid valve which takes about 3 working days. The only worry comes when you're not sure whether some SC's foremen and technicians really know what they're doing or not to repair your car and solve it once and for all when something is wrong with the car. Some buddies here said that Puchong Kinrara SC is a good one, I need to experience there myself during my next regular service in order for me to comment further. On the other hand, I had asked for a claim from Setapak SC to change the door catch mechanism because of its "clack" sound when closing my driver's door. It seems since last year before Raya until now no news from them although I had followed up calls with them very often. They gave me all kinds of excuses. They are only willing to claim the parts which related to engine/performance and safety for the driver. Minor stuffs they will try to ignore. Some negatives aside, Forte is a quite an okay car for its driving refinement, comfort and affordability. FC is not bad, not great either. Mine is 2.0 and overall I am satisfied with the drive and performance. Really can't compare with Honda City and Toyota Vios. Even Corolla Altis. Mazda3 2.0 and Forte 2.0 is on-par, but Civic (previous generation) loses its ride refinement.. Forte has an upper hand on this.. This post has been edited by Ah_Bear: Jan 8 2013, 11:54 PM |
