You sure from exhaust but not from all wheel disc brakes.. ?
Supposingly most new cars below 1k km mileage with EBD and BA has
hangus smell from the brakes when you use your brakes kinda aggresively..

It happened on my 2003 swift, 2009 vios.. but 2004 waja don't have hangus smell when new..
Vios special a bit.. got very the hangus smell from engine bay when I rev more than 3krpm before 1k km..

My friend's new Persona B-Line dun have hangus smell also.. haha

try driving around your neighbourhood in the morning early before going to work..
if the hangus smell become less.. its normal..

dulu my Vios super hangus smell when I raced the car abit (3,500rpm, 130kmph) at below 100km mileage and I didn't bothered also
slowly it will become normal.. turned to be mechanically new car scent of hangus smell.. then become no smell..

Vios E Spec and Almera costs exactly the same as Forte 1.6EX right.. ?

if Forte in the comparison with the 2 cars mentioned above.. Forte WINS all time..
I owned a Vios before, beh tahan for 2 years of use then changed to Forte.. you know what it means..
Vios is a super cheaply built and noisy car.. !! don't be fooled by its promising peppy acceleration feel..
every engine revolution you can hear its buzzy noise all the time from dashboard.. making town driving and
highway driving to vomit.. and yes the rear bench is so short where your thighs will get numb after an hour ride..

Why not consider Chevy Sonic sedan (cheap and fun car) / Proton Exora CFE or Preve (for family comfort, torquey, affordable car-like MPV) / Livina X-Gear (roomy headroom)
or Alza ? (most value for money, family friendly semi MPV, soulless to drive)

new tayar.. its different kind of noise.. but its not very silent la coz its performance oriented tires..
Silverstone Atlantis V7 got sound like landasan keretapi "wooong wooong".. Michelin PS3 is "gruuu" solid road noise
but not irritating or excessive..

Difference which I've mentioned much earlier.. crisp and instant steering response when changing lanes and U turns..
sapu corner at any curvy flyover or twisty kampung road.. the car won't feel like "tertanggal at one side".. can feel all 4
wheels got traction on road securely.. and 160kmph tire rolling and ride doesn't feel harsh at all unlike Silverstone..

that's all ba.. plenty of big improvement differences..
in Cantonese saying "yat fun chin yat fun foh".. in ang moh saying "you'll get what you pay for"..
after all Michelin PS3 currently is the most recommendable tires from most ppl by default for best all-round tires for normal road use..

Yes it is true when your daily route will be traffic jam crawling bumper to bumper at 80%
Outstation drive could be as low as 5.8L/100km with constant 120kmph cruise control for 3 hours.. don't stop for kencing or buying drinks at R&R

I suggest you to drop by at SC later during lunch time, lodge a complain at SC that you're having this problem / unsatisfied with the car within 24 hours when you collected your new car.. it is mentioned in warranty T&C..

Do call any SC nearest your office ASAP now for appointment to check smth weird happened on your 1 day old car..
and ask any of your colleague to fetch you back to the office in case your car need to stay back there until evening for inspection..

if you go there during weekend, those "irresponsible" Naza Kia SC will say
"Encik, hari ni SC kiteorg buat normal service jer, takde buat car repair, datang balik hari Isnin pagi
baru kiteorg boleh check kete you"..

5.8L/100km when I was driving alone outstation at night to JB.. no slowing down, no stop or whatsoever.. 3.5 hours..

normal daytime traffic period on highway drive is around 6.6-8.5L/100km depends on how often those idiots road hogging at 90-100km/h and slow down traffic to a complete stop to see see look look due to car accidents..
