Don't pijak minyak kuat kuat and tekan brake siok siok.... Especially you know red trafiic light or the road is congested. That is call stupid.

Added on January 1, 2013, 8:23 amThis car famous with makan minyak...cannot fight with even civic or altis. Maybe fc same as camry or accord. I was struggled with this problem last time. Many people's talk about modification including change knn filter or add power storm device, and I think it will not work. If really good, KIA already implement since day one. Why need other modify to make their car more better in term of fc?

One of thing can save fuel is change to smaller and ultra light rim. This is what I believe. At least can save 5 prevents, I think. People talk about LRR tyre as well. Donno where can get it. I also thinking to get engine oil 5w20.

I need to wait for next time maintenance.

Where you get the RIM? Is it ultralight? 17" same size with stock rim? How much you pay for that?

Added on January 1, 2013, 9:31 pmI will not give you biased comment. No one can tell you about performance after 5 yrs. No one will know as the car released later 2009. I asked my friend who owned for 3 yrs already, no problem at all. Based on this forum, I dont see anyone complain about performance or quality so far.

This car simply can beat many B segment car which has same price with it.

It has few common minor problem for certain user. See if you are lucky enough

1. Rattling dashboard
2. steering pull left

Both need to get SC fix it after you get the car. I managed to fix problem number 2. But number 1 still happen to my car. These consider very minor issue.

The Fuel Consumption slightly higher if you compare with Japan Car. 9-12L/100KM in full city drive. around 20 cents per km.

Dont worry about FC, if this is not your only car in your family ... If you not 100% drive in city .... if you seldom drive the car probaly 500km mileage per month.

Yes. Exactly same as mine too. The city drive really consume fuel. Thinking to do something that I mentioned before.

Dont you think it is dangerous keep look at the meter?

Actually I did that last time as well but drive like an aunty and lost appetide to drive.

Also the SC asked me not to do so because we should monitor the engine temperature all the time.

Naza really itchy. Give low quality 17" rim + tyre to forte 1.6. What for? Better give smaller tyre and rim but better quality to us. No many of us can afford for good quality of 17 tyre.

Added on January 3, 2013, 5:36 pmNever trust that. I guess your actual fc is 7l/100km. Use fuelly.com to calculate before and after highway ride. Then you will know.

Added on January 3, 2013, 5:42 pmSome peoples claimed they achieved 9l/100km in city drive. I think they drive without many traffic lights. If you drove in city full of traffic lights, story will be different. I used to do crawling ... And not really consume lot of fuel. If stop and start, then you will know.

Any FC improvement after you installed K&N Air Filter and Firestorm booster?

My plan is use 5W20 engine oil next time. I found from internet it saved fuel. Of course down size the rim too. I check 15" ultra light is 5kg but 17" ultra light minimum 7kg.
So, if downsize will be better.. I guess.



There are many peoples in this forum has downgraded to 15 or 16 inches rim. But no one share with me whether any FC improvement or not

The reason I want to change is I want my 1.6sx improve performance and move faster. Second of course improve FC.

This car not bad ... Where you can find C segment car 2.0 with 90k++? beside Preve and Inspira.....

Lain kali K3 datang will not be so cheap anymore.

FC is tinggi sikit compare with Altis atau Civic. But at least you have save 20k++ compare to other C segment car. If you always city driving slow crawling .. then FC is quite high. If it is your concern, go for other.

Mine is 1.6SX. I am thinking to change to 15" will be more appropriate. But I notice no such Primary LC for 15" 195/65/R15. What is the best tyre for 15"?

Yeah.. A bit cacat ... but what to do ... now 1.6SX is really underpower. Furthermore, the 17" is very expensive.... And also I stay in industrial area, many heavy vehicle and the roads are kanasai ... many potholes... Everyday I drive like a hell need to avoid that stupid potholes and stupid steel covers.

From the first day when I purchased Forte I already asked the SA downgrade for me but they dont want and ask me bikin by myself.

belum lagi... I am from penang. Many told me dont be bodoh buy in penang. they asked me go to KL .. KL much cheaper. Not sure how true it is.

kidmad, since you are from KL, go to this shop at Jalan Ipoh. Sure they can give you 15" ultra light rim below 5kg. Look at their post.
