JB update V20x already improved the camera quality but not that much...
But i found that each time snapping picture with camera, using the HDR function will capture the best image

Cant help it, thats the weak point of LG product, its developers didnt concentrate much on that...I mean LG Dev...

But its not that bad...I like the HDR functions

If you care about camera shot quality, O4X cant promise you a 100% quality shots, but it does give you performance...Sony phone, yes, the camera shot quality is amazing...I dare to say this as i am too from Sony Xperia Ion LT28h, camera is just amazing...Sharp and precise

On the pixel count side, Ion win the fight for sure...Focusing will take much longer time especially in low light condition...Real image quality depends, on daylight/light source is maximum, you able to get a pretty decent and sharp picture, but low light is pretty hard to do that...

Focusing time is a bit longer but its worth a shot with what you get later on....

Thats a big no, you can flash it from recovery mode or flash using Fastboot command...
Still you need to be rooted and unlocked BL....

Good..But also you can try LG Optimus G or G Pro...From various review stated that it does have decent camera..

Ive tested 3 roms already, JellyBeer, Revolt JB, Zaiben...All are CM10 based...

Until now i still prefer RevoltJB due to performance, battery life, UI customization...

But still all those CM10 based rom perform good with Optimus Prime kernel....

I dont like pure CM10

MIUI seems to have some stability problem and battery draining too...So i'll avoid it for now...

I'd prefer more aokp rom than aosp...RevoltJB seems nice...

My next rom maybe Zaiben, stock based rom, deodexed/zipaligned/de-bloated/highly optimized performance...

That would be a year or more...As Optimus G/G Pro is quite a famous and chosen phone among monster users...

JB upgrade(Official) do solved that and i can say it becomes better...

I would use SetCPU apps, set on boot...Very handy apps...

Sometimes i'd use System Tuner Pro, directly push my setting into init.d...But use SetCPU easier

If it was like that...I prefer you go for JB, ive personally tested Xperia V and i'd say the camera is nice but in terms of performance, it is far behind O4X...

Iodak custom kernel is the most stable kernel ive used with Stock rom...It even support undervolting of cores, thus give more battery juice throughout the day...I can say if u use stock kernel, your phone wont even last for 8 hours with data, but with Iodak kernel, damn, more than 14hours of battery, with data...

Im now using Zaiben rom, it is Stock based JB(V20A) rom, fully debloated, injected with Iodak kernels...Damn nice and blazing fast...

Yeah me too hoping the same thing...In my case, i need more performance, camera is just my 2nd/3rd option so no problem to me it is...

And to me its not that kind of bad, its just not perfect as Sony, and of course sony got ExmorRS sensor, that what makes them superb...

To be frank, i never used any software to transfer files between pc...Just directly connect in MTP mode

There is no need for that...you can flash the zip file directly without going back to 4.1.2....it will work

On stock or on custom kernel, the heating problem is still there..
Its just that on stock, thermal protection limit have been increased to gives more space for performance....

You can visit General Discussiom section in XDA to find which apps can be safely removed..

If youre lazy to do that, just flash magic rom which is stock based with lots of bloatware removed and themed perfectly...

Stability and smoothness is not a problem...the problem now is our processor generate much more heat and even faster rate, in stock kernel, lg developers coded a safety feature called thermal protection limit...when our cpu & battery hits a certain limit, the kernel will lower down the working cpu frequency to reduce thermal heat being produced to protect the battery and motherboard itself...This protection gives us problem where there will be performance drop once cpu freq being limited...

Nvidia default temp limit is 80°c, our stock kernel is 65°c if im not mistaken...in custom kernel, they disabled/tweak this features to avoid the cpu being reduced in freq...

Its not that custom kernel reduced the heat generated...even if ure using custom kernel, when do browsing around 20min, cpu temp able to hit 55 degrees, nothing to worry as nvidia promised us that tegra 3 can withstand up to 85 degrees...

About the casing and sp, i bought mine from lelong...rm15 for both...now no stock already

If youre on ICS, just update to JB through OTA or LG PC suite...no need flash manually...once youre on JB...follow your number 2 sequence, unlocking bootloader is a must if you wanna go for custom rom and kernel...

Of course unlocking bootloader will void the warranty...

There is a chance to RE-lock the bootloader, by re-rwrite to fuse command back to 0 value but that will locked ur bootloader permanently...at least that is what i find from my research for now...
