i suppose matrics are more or less the same between one another, due to the similar template used in the curriculum. i think what we should be discussing is what makes one place better than the other? i could come up with a few:

i. teachers
ii. environment
iii. facilities
iv. crowd
v. location from other amenities

etc...

it's good if we could point out exactly why one place is better than the other, it'll help others to make out or decide where to go.

Did you correspond directly with Curtin Perth regarding the recognition of matriculation?

never bothered to.... wasting time tongue.gif

curtin sarawak and curtin perth... both are just the same because curtin sarawak is also an international campus, not just normal franchise.

you should, they did not indicate any thing about Malaysian matriculation. So it i very likely that it is not recognised.

You should not assume that what applies in Sarawak applies to Perth too, you should be aware of that. Monash Melbourne and Monash Malaysia are different.

my friend did it this way....

he was from matriculation. the 1st semester of 1st year he studied locally.... then the 2nd semester he applied for a transfer to perth....

It doesn't mean that they accept matriculation either.

your friend went to Perth with his 1st semester credits, not with his matriculation.

If he went there straight after matricalation, then there is something to talk about.

Whatever the case, it is very unlikely to use matriculation to enter a competitive foreign university.

I dunno what you're trying to prove by arguing with my points here, but earlier I mentioned that international university might accept matriculation result.

Monash, Curtin, Swinburne.... these are international universities eventhough they are situated locally. I did not mention anything about foreign universities.

... until you drag to Curtin Perth or whatsoever.

To find your answer, I suggest that you make the enquiries yourself.

just to be certain whether matriculation can be used to enroll one into a course in a foreign university.

The findings is that it's possible to use it so long as the institutions are within Malaysia but the same cannot be said for institutions outside Malaysia.

Bio, Chem and Maths?
or Chem, Phy and Maths?
Many would do Chemistry and Mathematics for science stream..
You have options to choose either physics or biology.. if you interested towards Medicine or Pharmacy, then take Bio.. else if you want to go towards IT or Engineering, take Physics
