Anchor spray paint can be use on Gundam kits
I've used this kind of spray on 1 of my Gundam's hand
the weakness is it's too glossy
so might need to spray a layer of flat coating on it to make it looks more natural

medicontherun:
What grade do you want ??
GT has MG Hyaku-shiki at the price around RM 180
it's coated in gold color

true, but its not like plasticky-glossy, its more of the metallic kind of glossy. which is good for gundams, no? makes it look like those models that are just unveiled to their pilots. reminds me of the Destiny when Shinn first took it out for a spin.

yeah the top coat would be a good idea anyways.

cheaper option huh?
*
I don't like the metal type of shinny
remind me of those coated robot toy that sell in pasar malam sweat.gif

anyway, it's better to have a top-coat on it after you use those spray
heard that the paint easy to wear off compare to those modelling spray

Hey guys I need some opinion here ... It's my first time fixing up a Gundam kit, is it okay to go with Master Grade? A few of my friends told me that MG is for pros only sweat.gif
*
Just read the instruction manual carefully and everything will be ok
MG is abit hard for a beginner because MG has a lot of small parts which look similiar
then you might be cut the wrong components or place it wrongly
if you read the instruction carefully then MG is not a problem for a beginner to start out rclxms.gif

nah, those pasar malam ones are different. Anchor sprays give that..erm..car paint kinda metallic (at least the grey one i have does) and i think the more u spray, the less shiny it is, in other words, more solid color. just my opinion tho.

abt wearing off, hmm now thats gonna be a problem. if i apply top coat shud be no problems already yeah? unless.. top coat wears out too doh.gif
*
Oh, I didn't try to spray few layers on it
I just spray 1 layer
it's because the hand that I spray is so tiny
spray few layers scare it will become very thick

whoami123,
hey still got questions from where we left off at young_soul's thread.

the pla plates, after ure done cutting them according to size n all, how do u attach them to, u know, ur kit? i mean like, isit possible to build a gatling gun from scratch with those? then how do u join the parts?
*
Of course use super glue or modelling glue blink.gif
If you want more details or better curve
then put putty on it & sand it with sand paper

The super glue does melt the plastic
but you only glue the joint part
not the whole surface

I also don't know putty is made by what biggrin.gif

For some odd reasons, the newer magazines are now selling at RM18 (the issue where they gave Trombe ver. Guarlion) over here in Melaka too, compared to the previous RM15 they have, for copies that comes with free crap.

AFAIK, all the Taiwan version are printed much more later compared the the Japanese versions (later by one or two months, IIRC), due to some agreement they have with the Japanese publishers (like animu DVDs, given how they're going to be sold cheaper than the Japanese version, cheap Japanese people would buy the Taiwan version instead, and the original Japanese producers would not profit much). They all costs RM15 (or RM18 right now) in retail if they come with free crap, RM7 (or RM8 right now) if they don't.
It's standard procedure to have a thick piece of cardboard the size of the magazine itself to cover the free gift they have. Though for some odd reason again, I saw some of the recent magazines that came with the Guarlion didn't have the cardboard support, and the magazines are all bent due to the tight shrink wrap sad.gif
*
You mean all included the latest issue from Taiwan also selling at RM 18 or RM 9 ?? blink.gif

The April issue you got is come with a cupboard?
All the outdated April issues selling in the market is not with the cupboard
I think it's due to the reason that they opened the original package & teared off the "offensive" page 137
and then they didn't put back the cupboard before wrap the magazine again

I've heard that got people get an EMPTY box of the free gift
which means nothing inside the box
so I think it might be the employee from the reseller stole the toy inside

In an earlier issue, it was announced that due to rising cost, they had to increase the cover price.

It was included in the magazine but was printed in mandarin. (I had a friend translate it for me.)

It's RM18.00 if a toy is included and RM9.00 or RM8.00 if no toy is included. You pay for the toy!
*
It never says that the toy is free biggrin.gif
even the original Taiwan price also more expensive than the issue without toys
good thing is those toys can say is "limited edition" since you can buy it anywhere

compare to japan, malaysia selling magazine is cheap enough la

for the latest "Hobby" magazine in japan selling at high price leh wif and without toys price also different  sweat.gif RM30~RM40  laugh.gif
*
In Japan, if work in fast food stall
their pay per hour at least is bout 1,000 Yen
so they just need work for bout 1 hour then can get the magazine
while in Malaysia we only get RM 3.50 per hour
then we've to work for 6 hours to get the magazine

we cannot compare like that by convert to RM
we've to compare their income too

(P/S: Sorry, wrong calculation just now. I've corrected the calculation for JP tongue.gif )

Cut the decal out
place it on the place you want the decals apply on
then rub hard on the top of the decal with your finger nail / coin
