Hi all,

I am planning to order some Mr. Top Coat (Flat/Matte finish) from http://www.plajapan.com/.

Do you think it would be too much problem at the kastam? I might order 10 canisters because I wanna coat my PG Strike Rouge. Will the shipment be allowed into malaysia? I have doubts...anyone tried before?
*
bro, if you really go with it, can I tumpang? Been looking for Top Coat myself blush.gif
I remember there was one shop in 1 Utama which sold it but it closed down...anyone know where else I can get Top Coat (Flat) around here?

I'd love to see this in action...didn't know he had the same "pop-up" shield as Strike Freedom, IJ, Destiny and Legend

I'm referring to this:
The joint there is very loose, so the wings will rotate downwards due to their weight. I'm so jealous when I see dalong's one standing upright so nicely. cry.gif
*
jchj, I have that problem too sweat.gif but I just left it be...don't move it around too much. The joints seem ok now

If you really want to buy GSD 1/100 kits, the ZAKUs and the Chaos, along with Destiny and Legend are better made.... SF and IJ's main problem is that they look nothing like the mecha in the anime.
*
yes, I agree that SF is badly made...looked like a rush job. I heard Freedom also had this problem last time. However, I think IJ is quite good. It did not appear much in the anime...that's why we think that the "anorexic legs are an eyesore" laugh.gif at least they took their time to properly mold this creation into the 1/100 series

I just checked on the Legend and IJ stands...they're not the same...Legend's stand seems to be more complicated too. Alrite, enough about stands...the damn kits alone looks like a long way before I finish it sweat.gif summore haven't decided on how to mod unsure.gif

how? color it as black then use erase marker?
*
sorcecold, I recommend that you just use the black panel line marker and do some standard panel lines. The eraser is for modding and making your own panel lines only.

Btw, Ban Dai came out with Freedom Phase Shift Off version sweat.gif

its not MG, but it would look nice with the MK-2 V2 stand laugh.gif

Actually it's to erase of any excess black ink.  sweat.gif

No need use your finger or wet cloth.
*
excess black ink should use tissue, cloth or the Gundam marker remover sweat.gif
sandpaper will just spoil the model since he's not doing any painting or coloring

mind telling wut the size and thickness of the pla plate u buy?
*
QUOTE(asuk @ Aug 9 2006, 08:41 AM)
ya, i was also wondering, how many pieces of plaplate are in the pack?
*
I got Tamiya brand pla plates...its the only one I could find. But I think its a little pricy. Anyway it comes in different sizes...

Tamiya 0.3MM (5 sheets)
Tamiya 0.5MM (4 sheets) - I got this
Tamiya 1.0MM (2 sheets) - recommended standard size
Tamiya 1.2MM (2 sheets) - no link
as you can see...the thicker it is, the less "sheets" you get. You can imagine why. I got the 0.5MM because I want more sheets. If I want it to be thicker, I can just add another layer. 1.0MM is the recommended size for standard modelling.

besides the "sheets" there are tube pla plates, "glow in the dark" pla plates and other types. I found them in Tamiya Underground, 1 Utama.
