QUOTE(dreamKrusher @ Nov 13 2012, 06:12 PM) does the big M that launch the Genneva be charged as well? Didn't all these people abetted in the promotion of this ponzi scheme?? Or were they just there for the door gift?? Many customers testified that the reason they went into this scheme was after seeing these so-called politicians and well-known personalities officiating GM's function. This is an interesting feedback from one Zaleha Md Taib who was interviewed by BNM recently. According to her the investigation will take at least 90 days. After the investigations papers are finalized they will be submitted to AG's office who will then determine whether there is any case. If the directors are charged it could take a minimum of 9 months for court proceedings to end.
If history is anything to go by i.e. GM1.0 then the directors will definitely be charged under BAFIA and AMLATFA and if they do not admit to their guilt the case could easily drag from 5 years to 10 years NOT 9 months. GM1.0 was on a much, much smaller scale and it has dragged for 3 years now without any conclusion. GM2.0 is massive....directors will be charged with over 60,000 offences. Furthermore AG might decide to charge certain prominent senior consultants this time around for defaming and maligning the Central Bank as well as the DFM besides abetting in the ponzi scam.
>>Zaleha Md Taib: Sy ada mendpt info from bnm officer we all must wait until 90 days utk siasatan . The result akan dihantar ke pej peguam negara utk ditentukan GMSB ada kes or tidak. Jika x de kes semua akan dipulangkan kpd company. If ada kes drag ke 9 bln minima n jika didapati GMSB bersalah , money n gold akan jd milik bnm but kita blh buat tuntutan pihak ke3 yg ada dlm peruntukan bnm. So mmg ambil masa yg panjang. Insyaallah masih blh dapat hak kita tapi kita mesti banyak bersabar n sentiasa ikut perkembangan kes. Ini info semasa sy dipanggil oleh bnm tempoh hari.<<

From EddyLB posting above, I would seriously urge ALL investors who are affected to make your police report NOW, immediately, as soon as possible. DO NOT DELAY, the longer you delay, the longer it will take to recover your gold and money. Give your full cooperation to BNM and the authorities and settle amicably with them. It's critical that you make a police report in order to submit a third party claim.
__________________________________________________________________________________________ UPDATE: There's a post on GMS on the briefing at CONsultants' meeting yesterday.
Mira Edora Saya terima sms dari cousin pd 13.11.12/18:39. Salam, latest updates on Genneva. Our consultants committee had met 1) Tun Mahathir 2) Majlis Fatwa 3) PPIM, All to seek respective parties support on our case 4) we are now seeking an audience with Tan Sri Zeti for a dialogue session 5) our Genneva management is negotiating with BNM to settle our case amicably 6) we have explored on the legal avenue. Unfortunately, it is way too expensive and time consuming (min 3yrs) and chances of winning against authority is rather slim. We hv seek opinions frm few legal firms ranging frm the cheapest to the most expensive, all with experience in hndling Bafia n Amla cases. All of them advised us to settle this matter amicably with BNM.
(Note: No mention of marching or occupy Putrajaya was proposed or any of the no-brainer, bizarre methods employed by Pat Lulu was even suggested by the legal firms.)

QUOTE(Serendipity123 @ Nov 14 2012, 08:47 AM) I am confused. How do they expect to settle amicably with BNM? Ponzi scheme is fraud, no? And fraud is criminal case, no? But I'm no lawyer, so I may be wrong. I think what the lawyers meant was for INVESTORS to give their full cooperation to BNM and the authorities like making a police report and appear as witness when needed. The directors/management still has to answer to fraud charges and if convicted will be sent to prison. A fraud is a fraud, no two ways about that. The earlier the investors assist BNM in their investigations and court proceedings, the faster they may make claims to their frozen assets. This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 14 2012, 10:23 AM

QUOTE(zoff @ Nov 14 2012, 09:53 AM) How do you settle a CRIMINAL case amicably? They still do not get it. They are alleged VICTIMS of a CRIME. The people behind Genneva are alleged CRIMINALS. They are potential witnesses in criminal proceedings. Your house was burgled and you ask to police to settle the case AMICABLE and return recovered property and destroy EVIDENCE before the alleged thieves are even charged? Perhaps the word 'amicably' is not the most appropriate word to use here as it brings a lot of confusion. The AG needs a certain number of BNM/police reports by investors to strengthen the case against the directors since it was found that GM's liability was in the billions. So the intention was NEVER to settle the case amicably but to go ahead with the charges. What I feel is that the investors should give their fullest cooperation to BNM/authorities (in that sense, amicably) in order for the case to proceed in court and make the third party claims after court proceedings are over. Bottom line: the criminals will still be prosecuted, no compromise on that!!

QUOTE(williamjr @ Nov 14 2012, 10:26 AM) They can settle "amicably" because they believe that they've done nothing wrong. Since the BNM still have not officially said it's a Ponzi scheme (or have they?), they can still claim to be the wronged party... and thus, the use of the word "amicably" True, they are still innocent till proven guilty by the courts. Maybe we should not be too quick to judge.

QUOTE(terry8 @ Nov 14 2012, 12:01 PM) You need a supply of popcorn to last another 5 - 7 years. Summary :- 1) Charges to be laid in another 6 months. 2)Directors plead not guilty. Court Case to be settled in 3 years. 3) If guilty, Directors will appeal. Appeal heard in another 2 - 3 years 4) If found guilty, appoint administrator for distribution of seized assets and confirming all claims are genuine - about 1 year Total time to get back money = 7 years. It would be lucky if the court case takes only three years. GM1.0 for eg. is insignificant compared to GM2.0 which is a monstrous scam. Yet GM1.0 is now in its third year and no light at the end of the tunnel. I tend to agree with debbie who said that it might take a decade or more. GM2.0 was created from monies and gold stashed in offshore accounts or with shelf companies, brought back to recreate the current 2.0 scam. Somehow I strangely feel GM3.0 is in the works. So, gunny sacks of popcorns please. This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 14 2012, 12:20 PM

QUOTE(terry8 @ Nov 14 2012, 12:18 PM) Those directors dont care about gold already lah. They want their money in paper or electronic form (most likely overseas). Retired liao. They retired as of Oct 1 mah. Are u sure they retired liao? Hard core scammers like Ng P.W. & co plus servile lackeys like Pat Lulu and Aunty Lim will never retire. They always live to scam another day. Why?? Because easy money, free lunch and too damn lucrative. Futhermore there's a sucker born every minute. Who wouldn't want to lunch in exotic Japanese restaurants, watch wads of cash falling from the sky and change their Samsung smartphones like they change their panties everyday.. Greatest hypocrisy and insult to all her customers and the old retirees she has cheated. QUOTE(terry8 @ Nov 14 2012, 08:51 PM) Wish I could attend that. You should hear in the interview in the "inside story" the documentary on the US prime loans scandal. She is very straight forward and smart. Happy that she is the IMF head and happy to have Zeto to be our BNM head Oh yes, on 'Inside Story' she was the French Finance Minister then, now IMF Chief, lagi terror. BNM has posted the text of her full speech on their fb page. Excellent speech by Mademoiselle Lagarde. This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 14 2012, 11:18 PM

(Just saw this posting below from GG, Dunno how far it is true. If theres truth in it, then the conspiracy and sabotage that's hatched among the directors themselves is quite shocking!)....the plot thickens. ___________________________________________________________ Before Genneva got raided, Genneva was offering 3% hibah plus iPad3. This was planned by Genneva's Philip Lim, to attract the attention of BNM, so that Genneva will be raided and assets frozen. Genneva's senior management knew Philip Lim was the instigator. Philip Lim is actually conspiring with TGG to bring down Genneva. Genneva ! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=117...&type=1&theaterThis post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 15 2012, 02:24 PM

QUOTE(Genneva_is_a_scam @ Nov 15 2012, 04:02 PM) Philip Lim is (or should I say - was) the International Marketing Manager for Genneva. So what does an International Marketing Manager do exactly? I thought they already had a Regional Director? Very high sounding and international like. This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 15 2012, 04:27 PM

QUOTE(KamikazePg @ Nov 15 2012, 10:33 PM) A lot of CON-sultants said that the GOLD are ready to be delivered to the customers on the day of the raid.... then the Ipad should be ready to be delivered too....if it is just a simple "trading" activities.... Imagine if you go to SenQ to buy a TV that comes with a free gift promotion of an iPod for example... then you ask to come back 1 month later for the iPod? There's something fishy here. Yes the iPad3 should be ready for delivery with the gold. However no mention was made by BNM on seizing of iPads. The iPads would be relevant to the investigations and act as evidence of the ponzi promotions. By right they should have been confiscated as well as bahan bukti. Could it be that the mgmt. never intended to deliver the gold or iPads at all since they were expecting the raid?? Hmm....I wonder. Added on November 15, 2012, 11:19 pmQUOTE(debbierowe @ Nov 15 2012, 09:53 PM) http://www.nst.com.my/opinion/letters-to-t...-a-hub-1.171304here is a "letter to the editor" section in NST. with Pat Lu's touching opening sprinkled and posted on GMS page, everyone is semangat again No matter how 'semangat' or 'syok sendiri', its just a letter from an ignorant reader who have absolutely no knowledge or idea on how a ponzi scheme works. Certainly, this letter will not persuade BNM to release any gold or assets seized. So it's just syok sendiri in FUTILITY. BTW, I think the writer of the letter must have lost a lot of money by the Genneva scam too. This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 15 2012, 11:41 PM

QUOTE(arubin @ Nov 16 2012, 07:55 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The Cult of PIPs PureInvestor Anyone that dares question the validity of this program had better be ready for what follows. Criticism will be turned around and the person questioning the program will find themselves the subject of criticism. This is class cult behavior and it's not hard to see why the members would behave this way. PIPs PureInvestor is based on faith. Faith that investing in PIPs will bring in financial rewards most people can only dream of. After a while it will become a dream just to get their initial investment back. But until then investors absolutely must believe in the person running the show because once that faith begins to waiver the investor will have to begin to face the fact that they have lost their investment. In light of this it's easy to see why the PIPs PureInvestor community is so eager to pounce upon any doubter. What's sad is that eventually every PIPs investor will be wearing the doubter's shoes but most will remain silent because they will have seen what happens and this is exactly what the people running PIPs are counting on. Too many questions could bring the entire house of cards down before they can skip town. These CULT-LIKE mentality of people involved in ponzi schemes is indeed scary. One is totally disempowered and controlled like zombies (by senior cons- lulu, etc as in the case of GM). Criticism on GMS page will immediately be deleted and one is liable to be banned/blocked. One will be likened to a dog and asked to stop barking before being shooed off....sounds familiar??? This post has been edited by Akonn: Nov 16 2012, 09:19 AM

QUOTE(terry8 @ Nov 16 2012, 11:24 AM) They are many many Ponzi scheme in Malaysia. What makes Genneva different and intrigues me is how the victims involved are so brainwashed into believing the company that they go out of their way to protect the very people who cheated them. If you take a profile of the people involved in Bestino and the profile of the people involved in Genneva, you see a sharp contrast. It's the Stockholm Syndrome plus CULT brainwashing techniques by senior CONs that turned them into meek sheeps.
