Ohhhhhhhh...the truth is out!
Anyway, the Drogba loan thing is not gonna happen I think. There is too much complication and process involve to get the player for 2 months. That's what I read

Alright, can we get back to football discussions?
I've only seen the first half of the Derby, but a few points stood out for me: - Since the Norwich game, I've noticed that whenever Sahin's playing, the opposition tends to find space in the midfield. It's even more prominent during the derby where time after time he's seen jogging back to position where else a lively Allen was running around struggling to cover all areas. One have to wonder if this is the reason Mourinho decided to shun him in Madrid. To me it's just a matter of commitment and work ethics, he needs to work on it or risk getting sidelined when Lucas returns. - As solid as Brad Jones has been so far, his weakness was on display on Sunday. He was partially liable for the first goal where his punch landed right outside of the box. More worrying though was his distribution - his tendency to hit it long, only to be collected by Everton who immediately puts us under pressure. Whilst he has been a good deputy, Pepe Reina has to play when he's fit. - The success of the team is not just dependent on the manager's system and player's individual skills, but also on the nerves of the players. The strength of the player's mentality to withstand pressure is critical to a player's performance and I'm sure Sterling has learn that first-hand on Sunday. Glad to see Gerrard running over to the referee to protect Sterling, nobody else understands the pressure of a derby better than Stevie after all. |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Oct 30 2012, 10:40 AM) Alright, can we get back to football discussions? great points on Sahin. did anyone see Allen charging in with a sliding tackle in the match? he ran on top of his lung for that ball. it was amazing he made that tackle. agree about brad jones. this was his first real test. i guess he havent been playing enough matches for us. hopefully the short rest that reina had will help him to rediscover his form.I've only seen the first half of the Derby, but a few points stood out for me: - Since the Norwich game, I've noticed that whenever Sahin's playing, the opposition tends to find space in the midfield. Well i tried to but this petre here seems more interested in being an aunty instead
Yea liverpool surely is improving And looking more and more like a team under brendan. Crisp and no nonsense passing. Though it is a great way to play but it take longer time and determination to build such teams. Unlike sam allerdyce knock it forward tacticle who seems to do instant wonders for west ham. |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Oct 30 2012, 10:40 AM) Alright, can we get back to football discussions? Not surprising though about Sahin as he is a more attack minded player and Lucas is more defensively disciplined. And it was his first derby so maybe he was kinda shocked at the pace of the game and evidently got caught out of position. Sterling actually did a good job in keeping calm in my opinion, he was getting too tensed up till he got the yellow card and Gerrard calmed him down.I've only seen the first half of the Derby, but a few points stood out for me: - Since the Norwich game, I've noticed that whenever Sahin's playing, the opposition tends to find space in the midfield. Ok. I can see us growing old with you Ah Bowl in this thread.
Sahin is better fitted in the midfield with opponents that plays less physical/direct football. Botak Jon is better to deal with big physical threat opponents. You can see Sahin's positioning in finding spaces up front, and coming in late to find the tap in. He's a useful addition to the team. BR is expected to struggle with Everton's tactic just like he has with Swansea last season. They press high up, disrupt the usual passing flow and being a constant nuisance. He needs to figure out a way to deal with this. This post has been edited by dillonyong: Oct 30 2012, 11:02 AM |

Sahin is new to the PL so I guess he got his first taste of a real high tension derby match where the pace is frantically scary. He'll probably learn from this and I'm pretty sure Rodgers would advise him on this aspect too. Sterling is one hell of a talent, he is hungry and aggressive, good with the ball, pacey and he defends too! One more player I really want to see is Yesil. I thought he would've played during the midweek Europa last week but he didn't also. Still didn't get to see him much. Maybe this midweek against Swansea we'll see him play to give Suarez a rest. |

BR seems to be giving youngsters alot of chances but Yesil only get 1 chance? Morgan as well. As for Ngoo - niente (none). Sterling is one hell of a talent, he is hungry and aggressive, good with the ball, pacey and he defends too! One more player I really want to see is Yesil. I trust that he knows what's best for the team. Perhaps he feels Yesil, Morgan and Ngoo havent done alot yet to impress him for a start. As for the youngsters in the game vs everton, the derby delivers a fiery kind of passion that some of the youngsters struggle. That is normal. Inexperience. I trust that they will come back stronger against Swansea. |
