how much will samsung cost to fix a water damaged s2 ?

will other shop cheaper ?

my s2 now got many problem.
always restart if i use external memory card,
video and audio is lagging.
try upgrade and hard reset after install new firmware,
but still no luck.
i think now is good time to buy s3 or note 2

ok, I am able to factory reset and wipe data.
After install 2 times jellybam with the option to keep my kernel and CM10. Still stuck at the Samsung logo loading screen.

Any solution for this?

Sent my Samsung S2 into the shop after it refuses to boot up, got quoted RM180 to change the motherboard. Which seems to be very cheap.

Another question is will I retain my existing intermal files after motherboard is changed?

ehy? need data wan? not just enable GPS then can find your route/destination already with google maps?

got my mhl adapter today, i didnt know post laju deliver on saturdays also. i was expecting it on monday
trying out mhl adapter for the first time in my life. ^^

video output is strangely rotated when played in mx player,
i was using HW+ decoding, change to HW decoding then fully ok.
720p video are stunningly clear, mostly 720p that i download from youtube.

but using youtube app, when turn on 'HD', video quite blur, i think 480p only, ceh...no 720p hd.

games looks like crap, fruit ninja, subway suft, jetpack joyride etc, so pixelated.

gallery looks good, pictures are sharp, photo sphere view is amazing, my family totally "wow...." when i show them photophere samples on tv.

useful also la when wana watch movie or show pictures to people.
just poke in instantly works. not bad.

i did change the dpi, last time destEX gave long lecture about dpi change.

i change to 160 dpi, thats the dpi for 10inch tablet with 1280x800 resolution

it looks abit better, text becomes smaller and clearer, but still the overall UI is the same, only text gets smaller, the top bar in chrome browser still occupy about 20% of screen space when in landscape mode.

maybe paranoid android can solve this, but then i realize, PA is aosp rom, no mhl feature :-(

DPI is simply Dots Per Inch. A picture with 100 x 100 resolution would be 1 x 1 inch when printed at 100 DPI, and 100 x 100 inch when printed at 1 DPI

playing around with my mhl adapter, notice that when plugged in to hdmi, the internet speed drop.

i realize this when my youtube streaming becomes laggy.
youtube never need to buffer since my hse internet is 4Mbps.

if i do speed test when plugged in to hdmi, 1Mbps only.
remove hdmi, instantly back to 4Mbps.
kindda strange, just let you guys know.

I'm using JellyBam ROM for I9100G now. I'm loving it, but can everyone suggest to me how to enjoy using the ParanoidAndroid features of it? i know you guys will ask me to try and all, but I just want to know some suggestions first

first they have the 3 layouts mode, which is the phone, phablet and tablet (as in first pic) , also each modes have their own set of toggles you can choose from like in jkay mod, those toggles have their own layouts too, for example they have on/off switch or toggle button or holo button or multi-row toggles and many many other settings you can choose from for the notification bar area. the holo buttons also allows you to change their colours, all these are not in the pic sadly but you can find the pics in their 1965+ page thread 

next we enter the main allure of paranoid android which is the ability to change dpi of each and every app, and the apps don't get fc too, all very stable. They have first a general interface section which you can select the notification type(as in first pic) and your layout for system apps and user apps, then you can set the default dpi for system and user apps, the size for the notification bar and also the size of your lockscreen.

then we have the famour per-app settings, in this we can choose which dpi we want for any app instead of the default sizes. inside you can choose the app's dpi, and you can see which layout that app supports, some app supports 6 types of different layouts some supports only 1 layout, for example the google play store has different layouts when you switch to tablet size. Next is the force ability, which allows you to truly resize any widgets related to that app. its not like those resize we have in the launchers, this is true resizing and will not clip/cut off.

a recent development/feature would be the per-app nav bar colours, this one works like a charm, you can see any colour for any specific apps, even transparent, it uses a 8 character hex colour code to support this (as in 2nd pic) , and as you can see the nav bar colour changes when you open a different app (2nd pic right most) by default it will turn black, also the buttons can also be coloured, up to the glow that you see when you press. There's tons of extra settings in paranoid android, and they all give you more freedom and more eye candy compared to the default CM, the rom is based on CM so you can expect it to have all the CM goodies with it
