Hi, Just got myself a S2. Perfect phone for me right now  tongue.gif

Even though I am new to smartphone I can manage except one issue.
When I insert a new 16gb sd card (sandisk) I am unable to find the
format "button" / option. The phone can detect the sd card and show
the memory data etc but I cannot complete the format according to the
user guide.

Please advice Thanks

Yes I did that

applications>settings>storage>unmount sd card>ok>format sd card
>erase everything

The "format sd card" option is missing on my phone  rclxub.gif
*
then i dunno le~ usually its there, another way is to put it into your laptop and format it

question: your sdcard you mean the external microsd card or your phone internal memory?

I am refering to a Sandisk 16gb micro sd card which we can insert into the slot in the
phone. Recommended to format in the phone.

according to the procedure after unmounting the card and press OK there is
supposed to be Format SD card option appearing to press. The next line is
Erase everything. According to Samsung helpdesk press Erase everything means
already formated. Dont sound right to me rclxub.gif

go to external_sd, select everything, delete, there formatted already.

any other good roms to play with ar?
kinda bored with jellybam already..

paranoid not updating for months.. same as Resurrection remix.
pacman dont know why, feels not so stable

non stock tho!
*
the dev(s) decided that they would rather wait for 4.2 to be fully implemented and stable in cm10.1 then they will use their build tree to build their rom and update papref

True..since S2 is already more than 1 year in market.. rclxub.gif

well no harm asking, some service centers have their own technicians, not all send back to samsung's main service center at kl, i'm sure if you tell them what could be the problem they would help you. the last time someone got back a non-g when he asked was around march. btw you lose your remaining warranty once you claim, and it becomes only 1 month left. also there's some backdoor methods to get a new mobo cheaper whistling.gif

lol...told you guys, SOD only happens on siyah kernel and dorimanx is based on siyah.
use cm10 kernel, confirm no SOD. 0%, used 2 months none sod before.
every mention of sod is related to siyah kernel. i kena so many times when using RR ics. sick of siyah.
*
i'm using dorimanx 7.19, its not i don't want to update, i'm just lazy to update, anyways i haven't had a SOD for like, quite a long time, using PA 2.50 again i didn't update bcoz i'm lazy and never had a occasion of plugging my phone into my comp

i had a feeling that the battery leak issue has something to do with the ics firmware, last time when we first use ics rom also our wifi used to get stuck right? but restarting will fix it and it was solved later when new kernels/roms came out

best is to go to the shop and say you want to test it la if you're not sure, also make sure everything is working fine and you can pair, if the shop don't let then just leave la find another shop lol
