nope...i m using PPPoE/PPPoA mode.....try n try..still cant get the correct configuration...fed up

My adaptor just konked. How can i get it replaced? i think it's past warranty period.

looking to get wrt54g ver4 or wrt54gl which i doubt will have somehow...

i just finish flash my WRT54GL to DDWRT v23 SP2 Standard after flashing the mini.

now i dunno what kind of setting i need to do, for examples those basic settings and screamyx settings..

anybody kind enough to guide me? i using this router with my old Aztech DSL305E modem

last night after i finish flash my router, i can't get it connect to the internet.

Is it i need to set to PPPoE, then username and password for screamyx?

any other basic settings that i need to done to get connected to internet in the 1st place before playing with advance features? 

that's the problem, i dunno what is the IP for my modem to enter the setup page 

hey guys, i face some problem here..i got a wrt54gs v4 that i flash to ddwrt v23 sp2 mini. I'm using utorrent client to download stuff. I oredi set the 4096 and 120 configuration for BT usage.

I even try QOS after i discover still got problem with surfing. I can't surf net after few hours or next morning..get the time out error. I was starting 3 torrent at that time. Today i oni start 1 torrent and so far so good.

1. Is that important to have a good modem even though it is set to bridge? I pair the wrt54gs with AM300 and Dlink D500G also face problem.

2. Should i re-flash my router?

any more solution for this?

tried resetting your router?
it might be clogged up :S
and do upgrade ur router firmware to v23 SP2 ( thats the latest )

and 1 more thing. im using a linksys wrt54g with ddwrt v23 sp2 on. and the day before my last 2 'surviving' LAN ports juz stop working. as in cant connect to both of them. the last 2 was struk by lightning. and i've been using just 1 LAN port since then. and now. all the ports cant work. only leave me with wireless. can this be caused by firmware failure? or isit a hardware failure?

erm...a newbie here, well i'd read thru lots of the forum threads regarding the linksys wrt54g, and apparently the only available wrt54g's in LYP are all v7 and cant be flashed with dd-wrt, correct me if i am wrong, where can i still find wrt54gl's? instead of looking for mika, is there really no more shops selling this model in LYP? I've been seaching around but all i can find is the basic wrt54g, i dun wanna get it coz it cant be flashed with a 3rd party firmware..

I went to Lowyat today, saw WRT54GL is selling at RM240 ~ RM280 (exstock). I manage to grab the WRT300N v1 at RM560 (last unit). Now testing the WRT300N v1 with DD-WRT v24beta.

i am using dd-wrt v23 sp2 mini version....
now i am at router mode with automatic configuration DCHP for dailing...

actually i need to set the port forwarding, DNS and so on stuff to the linksys router or my adsl modem...?

I'm plan to install the MAXIS wireless ADSL at my home, (got coverage) anyone of you known about this ? I means the speed and uptime good ??

you mean the internet case right? i still like to use router mode which mean modem pppoe and router dhcp....
not sure why my modem will dail suddenly and cripple the internet.....
and also useful when wanna get 218 ip... if use router seems like power down and up it... take some time and cripple the network for a while also.....

now not sure why i can reach only 25mbps even i put my laptop just beside the router???

for ddwrt.. when u disconnect PPPOE.. it will drop the wifi..

it happens to me every time.. so now i'm using wired connection...

yar kar...?   my working place got WRT54GS connected to Aztech DSL600E and Complex SAS22248 24port switch... no problem wor... juz bitcomet getting slower these few weeks... can't even connect... status always connecting only...

Where/How do I determine what version of WRT54G that I have bought?

Noticed this is a v7 that I bought. Is this version worse/better than the older version?

Is there any firmware to enhance the connection/speed etc for WRT54G?

for version 7.... you can`t flash any third party firmware... only linksys firmware...
i think all would say worst for this gua??
