It seems like the wi fi connection between the MS adaptor at my xbox 360 with the router is improved after I reflash with the original software, and i wonder why, as no more dc problem at all....

any info/reviews on this model WRT54GC.. my friend got it, it looks kind of cute.. he got it for RM220 at lowyat.

I am going to buy another wireless router.. any recommendation? should i get WRT54GC ? i got wrt54G but it's version 5 hardware.. dont really like it, has lots of issues. any other recommendation?

I saw a friend of mine using Dlink wireless... gosh the ping from his laptop to the router is 20ms . Linksys still works the best with 1-2 ms ping.

it look cute but when u see it live.. its quite big also. bigger then the horizontal 1. say... almost the same size with the Crappy RSX if im not mistaken

Just bought another WRT54GS for another friend yesterday manage to get Version 4 at Sri Computer and Techdos also selling Version 4 you can identify the version on the box they have serial number on it look for CDF for WRT54G or CGN0 for WRT54GS

Manage to flash the version 4 to mini using i.e and the flash it again to standard version working perfectly


There are serveral versions of the WRT54G and WRT54GS. different powersupplies, chipsets, features, though all based on similar firmware.

To find out which model you have please go by the Serail Number of your WRT54G/GS. this is the only true way of finding out.

using the "SysInfo.htm" is not recommended, this gives on some versions the same answer and therefore cannot be used as an accurate way of finding out which model version you have.

WRT54GS v4 << this one got any problem? What will the reduction of ram do?

PErfect for the time being.. ram reduction?? only cant install more software inside.. after install 1 software.. the ram already left 2mb.. maybe plan to do the SD card modd.

All it HyperMarket in Lowyat Plaza and TechDos in Lowyat Plaza both are selling WRT54GS version 4 rite now just bought them last Saturday :-) i pair them with Linksys ADSL2MUE Modem

FYI , I just have converted my WRT54G into a GS [Thats right with SpeedBooster thingy and now OSX reports that Airport+ Connection and I could get pretty good transfer rates as well..]
