my say will be that the smaller fries will not be able to survive a hard wipe.
but some stuff like ceberus and avast did manage to survive my flash new rom over.

if done correctly avast tracks very well and doesnt hog much, say 4% of 100% battery
while ceberus actively tracks with the server takes 8% or more.

both are great app but ceberus is more pin point on what it needs to do and avast is general protection n recovery.

itz also best if you turn on gps be4 u track to make it accurate.
avast improved very fast and ceberus remained the same for quite some time adi.

avast have the advantage of silent calls to hear the theif while ceberus is camera u mention

but both needs a 3rd party phone to sms to activate data be4 it can be tracked and communicate with the server.

both utilise in website for the full functions as sms commands are half assed.

do u guys think Avast antivirus is necessary for phones?
Virus not that rampant yet

there is nth to worry, if u don simple download files and ahem apps from sites

we don't use avast for virus/malewares..
we use it for tracking when lost

If I flash new rom and kernel, just restore avast from Tiba rite? Shouldn't be a problem rite?

used to be ok, dun nid restore cuz they hard backup in ur boot files, but the update (last month i use) they wreak it.
so after flash new rom, it will not work properly

best remove it totally, flash rom then reinstall from play

Luckily I got my free cerberus licence last time, damn lucky! Avast can hide the app from system? If the thief found out you got Avast, they might quickly wipe the whole phone clean instead of playing around.

infact can make app and system app all hidden and renamed.

BUT they spoiled it when it got transffred to jb 4.1.1/2 ICS worked soo well..

Dun think thief is gadget freak.. As if they factory reset also.. Avast is still there... Plus if u set lock pattern n pincode... Theycan even access your home screen and etc..

U can rename anti thief avast file to standard file name..i use avast basically only for anti theft function... N even i uninstall lookout... Dun want 2 antivirus app for my phone

Long time ago, there is a limited time frame that you can just register your free trial for a full licence...

remember they even hunt in gangs in KTM, means they have experience.

and also, with all the news of thieves getting busted by tracking devices, i bet they will off the phone 1st and dun let it connect untill they can deal with it.

for now, i dun set pin code on my phone cuz if it get lost, i want the thief to happily use it while i can track happily..

Got photosphere to work well on my phone. Quite promising. Just need to get the .so files and it's good to go. Viewing the photosphere files is only possible on G+ for now though. Can't view it properly on the phone yet. Hope the correct libraries are identified and pulled asap.

Not sure if placebo, but the new Gallery has been enhanced to touch inputs in such a way that now, doing the card flipping action to scroll across many photos at once works very smoothly now. Don't really fancy the grey (previously pitch black) negative space behind photos though...

HI guys, need help here, previously my father using HTC sensation, all notes app+data i manage to backup using the titanium backup. Today when i tried to restore back at another phone which is samsung note 1,the app fail to open and stop working. Last time if not mistaken i manage to do something similar like that. So how to recover back all the important data?

Try to install back the notes app (from where you initially installed them - market or apk) then use TiBa to restore just data, not data and app. Just a suggestion.
Moving from brand to brand may sometimes causes problem because they might have a different directory path. *Just my opinion, no solid reference*
