When quality issues happened, it is not only the contractor is at fault...the client or the developer is supposed to monitor the quality as they should have in house project manager to independent check on the contractors work

The developer also appoint an architect and other consultants who are to take instruction from the client which is the developer...and these consultants are to protect the interest of their client and the project and ensure that their professional reputation is also preserved

When quality issues happened repeatedly, it is just a sign of the incompetency of the developer or its indifferent attitude...sometimes leopard doesn't change it's spots...

When the main con is terminated and an accident happen, the developer should do some damage control and PR and keep the purchasers notified and give information as to what remedial action has been taken....

Sure that the end financiers would also ask about it...

i almost bought one unit last time....but thank GOD i did not bite the bullet when it at property fair because few day after i call the sales agent, the unit i wanted was booked/sold to someone else and majority told me villamas hasnt proven itself yet.

I really dont want to be that someone else right now - this is really bad news and this will definitely ruin the developer image and the property itself.

I suggest the owners get written details of what has happened and ensure you get a improvement approach/plan to resolve this. I am this is bad omen

Anybody can advise what the owners should do?

I have tried to call them asking them what will their next steps be to assure owners that it the building is safe. They have not provided any valuable response. The only official response they have provided is a crappy message on their website.

http://www.verde-aradamansara.com/home.php

Hardly gives any further information.

Do you think we (owners) should come together and demand:

1. Prompt investigation
2. Action plan to ensure that the building and it's components are safe

Any further suggestions are welcomed. Yes I know that the situation is bad, but what should we do to minimise the effect?

Also they have confirmed that there is already a delay of about 1 month due to the change of main con. Apparently encorp (their old main con) stopped work during the period when FELDA was acquiring them. Hence they terminated encorp and used an in house main con. I've not verified these information, this is what I have been told.

Edit: they also mentioned (as credo_boi has suspected) that it is the scaffolding that gave way. The scaffold was holding a protruding concrete slab (likely a shelter or something, no main structure was involved or damaged) which was just casted recently.

Even the MRT project also got similar accidence, but the local authority also can't provide any assurance that it will be 100% safe when ppl driving / walking under the railway. So the conclusion is, stay at your own risk.

The claim is certify by architect before payment by developer right, why overpaid?

The old main con is also suing for wrongful termination...

I PM-ed him. He said the info came from his friend who is working in Villamas. Seems like he doesn't check this thread. What's the name of the new project in Seri Kembangan?

Haha thanks mate! Expensive la, hopefully it will be worth it.

Are you vested in Verde or other Villamas projects? I actually almost bought Verde but got put off by the less than friendly SA that attended to me. Blessing in disguise I guess.

Yeah hopefully they can get their act together and clear their mess. Don't need more complaints like from Atmosfera and Serin. ZZZ
