u need torque more than horsepower
during hill climb or just plain road pickup....u need torque
climbing genting should be find
if D isn't fast enough, theres always B there to help u go faster

Thx for ur info.. i thk i will try get mirage in manual if possible.. cos recently i found out in long run.. the myvi saga and mirage will be almost the same(include the maintain cost n fuel).. since i dont plan to change the car so soon.. so perhaps will get mirage eventhough the starting price is higher..

the maintaince cost is almost the same
they all need a oil filter and 4L of engine oil
overall is the same
but fuel comsumption, mirage win by miles....saga and myvi can't even compete
why wanna take manual?...all of those feature are all gone

In my view, the manual car with the right driving style, can save the fuel consumption compare to auto.. N the price for auto is a bit higher since i m plan to go for 100percent loan.. i hope this wont affected my living cost too much since my basic only 2.5k.. N now i m taking public trannsport to work.. hard to spend to much on unnessary.. Is it really not worth to go for manual ??

hmm...my view is, if you're purchasing a car..its best to take the highest line...cuz all the bells and whistle are there
i saw alot of case...doesn't matter what brand of car....they took the lower line(not even the lowest line)...they end up kinda regret didn't take the highest line and end up installing those extra "feature" outside which is a lot more expensive
2.5k mean u can spend RM833 on a car(to get the loan approve)..not including maintainance..etc
RM64980(highest spec)...assume 2.51% and 9years loan = RM738/month
and 1st year maintainance is free...i dn't think you're gonna be stuck at 2.5k/month..right?
but if your budget is kinda limited, just go for myvi or saga...its way way cheaper..just make sure u take the highest spec one like the saga FLX SE
of course these car...FC wont be that great but they're great car

as for FC..yes manual will kinda win auto but mirage is using CVT....which the FC is kinda almost the same as manual(but manual still win).but u lose all those feature
and for manual, if u use this car to drive to work and its a congested area like KL...i would strongly suggest u give up manual...you're going to cry tongue.gif

it depends what u need actually
saga is a great car especially when its time u cruise in highway....very syok very stable but if stuck in traffic, FC will hurt
myvi is a great car in city, FC is better than saga although saga uses CVT(its becuz saga's engine technology is too ancient, too simple)
but when comes to highway..its not very stable...can't corner hard as well...handling sucks
mirage is great in both city and highway(if not going like 150-160KM/H)..FC win hands down, best among all 3
downside, its also the most expensive among 3 as well(becuz its imported) but if u ask me, all the gadget..bells and whistle are worth the extra price
becuz if u add those extra stuff into myvi...it would almost cost the same

get what u means, cos most of frens also suggest me to go lowest spec with saga or myvi.. but when i thk abot the features n other like performance n long run of the car.. they really cant compete with japan car.. cos usually ppl thk abot the lower price.. N one more thing is there is alot of myvi n saga on the road.. perhaps mirage is another unique beings.. lols..

ya..mirage is your choice when u want to be unique
if u want a lower priced car, saga FLX SE is an awesome car
lots of power, great handling, great value too
only downside is that its FC will not be so good due to its engine but should be ok since proton switched to CVT already...comparable to myvi

I measured the air pressure after I reach my work place, its was 300kpa, the recommended was 240kpa. Which should I follow

I also google said that once the tyre heat up, the pressure is increased. If I were to drive to petrol station and masuk angin... nak follow mana satu pulak???

1 of my tyre was 280kpa, look like less air compare to other that is still 300kpa...

any sifu here?

Yes
Based on physics, pressure will increase when temperature increase
but temperature different in Malaysia, Low 23 and High 33
the difference only 10 degree
If you pump your tyre at midnight 240kPa
at noon it will only increase by 12.4 kPa to 252.4Kpa
it will not achieve 300kPa

In my opinion, you can only trust a calibrated pressure gauge
a cheap pressure gauge sometimes not accurate

just my opinion

Usually u still have to drive 1-2km from your home before u can pump the air right? IN that case, you isi the angin in, follow after increased pressure or follow recommended ones?

IN other case, should I deflate by other tire that was 300kpa? to 240kpa?

I just borrow from my boss tool, I believe more accurate, its from Michelin.. will late measure it again.

[EDIT] Just tested again 2 times 1 using the new tool and at petrol station. Now I look at the tyre macam tak cukup again...

Yeah. Same here.

There is a slight increase of RM2000 for the 2013 batch.

I am just wondering...any changes in specs or equipments ?

Like probably add on GPS panel, foldable mirrors, side mirrors LED, add-on arm rest or reduce in body roll issue.

Of coz not everything above I mentioned. Just hope there is more improvement on the springs and coilovers to reduce the bodyroll.

Just check with my local SA, 2012 batch is still available at the existing price.

I am still looking forward to Kia Rio launch on 30th January but my budget is around the Mirage price unless I dig for more downpayment.

Need to decide which car soon. wacko.gif Comparing between Fiesta, Mirage and the Kia Rio.

After 30th January, is time to narrow down my decision. smile.gif
