Yes, direct cable is the best. I've been using the Dragon 3rd party VGA cable (got from Djinn) and it has so far been excellent for me. A little bit ghosting at first, but after a while I got used to it and it's really great. My VA1912w is loving it laugh.gif

Not everyone has plasma. The purpose of this thread are for those who make do with LCD monitors and wants an HD experience. Cut these folks some slack will ya?

Thanks for the advise. I am playing on my CRT monitor through Vdigi VD-Z3. Too bad that VGA cable is out of stock. I might want to direct order from Play Asia, until then I will start to play it on my VA1912W.
The ghosting was due to slow response time on monitor, or VGA cable quality?
Btw, what resolution do you set for VGA output?

sad.gif what a waste, got big LCD screen but can't enjoy it now.

Res is set at 1280x720, which is the 16:10 ratio that the VA1912w caters to.

Not really sure what caused the ghosting, but I'm just guessing that it's because my eyes is too used to watching DOA4 on the TV, and hasn't really adjusted to an LCD. Now I don't really feel there is any ghosting at all biggrin.gif The response time 8ms shouldn't be much of a problem, and the VGA cable has been great so far, colours are all nice and bright.

Hey guys, anyone here using Dell 2007WFP with your beloved 360 & PC (via VGA & DVI)? well i just got mine yesterday tongue.gif , and i can tell ya, IMHO it looks WAY much better compare to CRT, literally... worth every single penny smile.gif
Anyways, i notice this model has PIP (Picture In Picture) & PBP (Picture By Picture) mode, my question is.. can i use either PBP or PIP between VGA (360) & DVI (PC)? cuz, i tried switching betwen VGA & S-video, VGA & composite, DVI & composite... so on and so forth, it's all there. Except for VGA & DVI. Anyone know bout this? or there is no such option for PIP/PBP between these 2 ports...

Hey there, another Dell 2007WFP user here. thumbup.gif Yeah, unfortunately there's no option for DVI and VGA in PIP, only DVI/VGA with Composite/S-Video in PIP. sad.gif
