I thought only post grad students get RA/RO position?  not?
I plan to start my post grad studies while still doing my fyp. btw I also planning full time, any diff?
I do have a backup funding but it not much. if can get funding and scholarships would be better.

do ro/ra become part of mmu staff? and we can use the equipments as needed? or do we have pay like to use equipments in other uni?

There are some undergrads getting RA but this is only for a small part, which does not lead to a master degree.

Yes, you can start even before registering, unofficially, but there are pros and cons. Do it full time, unless you plan to work outside.

Technically, they are not considered as a faculty member. Yes, can use the equipments, even FYP students can use equipments right? rolleyes.gif

Also, even if you are hired as an RA/RO, you can still apply for mybrain15. If you are lucky you will get it as well.  brows.gif  Mybrain15 covers only the tuition fees, does not include library fees, IT fees etc. As far as I know, MOHE deals directly with MMU, MOHE will be informed on how much to pay, and then they will pay directly to MMU.

About the funding for research projects, I'm not sure, but I believe usually these stuff are handled by your supervisor/lecturers? I believe lecturers usually try to get funding from various organisations for research projects of their interests, and once they obtain the funding, they can usually hire a RA/RO/GRA to carry out the project. I think so la...  sweat.gif  Bare in mind though, usually funding comes with requirements such as publication of papers/journals at the end of your research.  sweat.gif

I think getting mybrain15 is not difficult, just dont mess up with your documents biggrin.gif Publications should be viewed in a positive manner. Even if you dont get any funding, results dissemination through papers/conference is a must for any research.

No RA doesn't need a degree cert for such position. The otherwise go for RO. The difference is your maximum pay rate is higher than RA. In my case as a part-time RA i was paid rm55 a day, maximum working days of 12 days per month. while my full time RO friend of mine had 2.1k per month.

You'll receive a staff ID once you have been appointed as RA/RO, but I didn't ask whether am I eligible for staff parking sweat.gif . And you'll be able to log into staff's ICEMS and, well I should not say whats in there haha.

Hi, i want to ask few questions regarding the foundation program for june intake.
1 - if i apply now, it takes how many weeks or months to know my admission status?
2 - is the accomodation readily available for international students or not?
3 - for clothing, tuition fees, accomodation and other miscellaneous expenses, what should my total budget be?

Complaining to the guard seems useless , I only see them either sleeping or going somewhere else .
Cleaners are worst , they can lie down , chit-chat , sms , in the tv room .
That's it , I'm moving out after next sem . mad.gif mad.gif

My job was doing development on an Intel project as well as some paperwork. It depends on the assignments your lecturer gave you as well, sometimes i had to assist him in class teaching.
