Aku pun minat gak pleco2 yg rare.. L24 ke. Anyone ada experience dgn rare plecos?

Yesterday baru balik from outstation cum holiday with family. 4 days off home, risau gak any of my aquatic pets died, or at least, in bad condition. I stocked many small fishes for the aro and 2 bichirs, together with holiday blocks for the feeders.

I moved the 5 angels into 3x2 tank in backyard, WITHOUT aeration or filtration (pic). I stocked 3 holiday blocks with plenty of jentik2 in there (the tank being empty for a week or so). So they shoulve plenty to eat, but i was worried about water condition.



Sampai umah, thank God everything was fine. The angels even remain fat as they were before. Moved them back to their tank

Gonna reply to this on this thread for the benefit of any Sturgeon enthusiasts (Of which you are the first one i've encountered lol). I'm not using chiller, i bought total about 7-8, only 3 could take it. The rest bungkus. As for the Arowana shops, there are two dedicated aro breeders along jalan sungai buloh, Yek Fong and Oriental Aquatics, the shop i'm talking about is near oriental aquatics. Google persiaran sungai buloh, it connects to jalan sungai buloh, make a left at the T junction and its the 3rd or 4th shop on your left, got koi sign outside. Its a small shop, if you went to the shop that is very wide with many concrete koi ponds, you went to far, make U turn. Oh and don't pay more than $40 per sturgeon.

As for depth, i think 3 feet is ok, i'm eventually transferring mine to a 2ft deep 1000g pond. My advice - don't keep small sturgeons in ponds, they will have difficulty finding food, if you have koi or other fish then they will whack all the food before sturgeon can find it. Keep them in tanks until they get bigger then transfer.

Bro @Awansakti hows ur aro doing? Aragorn undergoing rainy season here with chances to taste different types of food. That day i caught 2 centipedes. Aragorn terus sambar in a split second. I remember feeding small frogs to my late pearly. The frogs so many that finally he gave up eating frogs. Dunno what type of frog actually, or even its good for domestic fish. Now with aragorn i dont wana take any risk.

Ntah. Didnt keep track of time. Less than a year? Dulu panjang kotak rokok je. Bought the same time as the gar, as they were kept in the same tank. Both same length. Now its bigger than the gar. Lol

Tu la. But I just keep them well fed, at least sikit pun jd la. Takut they'll freakout on each other when they're hungry.

During feeding time I'll first feed the oscar with pellets until its full, hand feed the ytc with mealworms or raw fish, then only I pour in the feeder fishes for the gar. Any leftovers the oscar and ytc can have as dessert. Lol
