Hi all,
Sorry. I simply took any kind of keyboard picture from the internet to show my point of black ink on black keycaps. It was not that actual keyboard that my business partner purchased.

This is how it actually look like (zoomed in to show the black on black letters). Yes it is a Realforce but dont know if it is Topre or not since I didnt check properly & don't know much about keyboards (except that I thought she was just joking or I heard wrongly when she said her keyboard cost RM1200+ ... like what yasay???)

ya those are Topre keyboards, and they priced around 1k, plus shipping to Malaysia.

you need those Topre keycaps, that cost around RM300 to RM400 for it.

per my previous post mention, I do have a set for sell,
Do let me know if she is interested, the price will be lower than the one sold online.
Please note it is not a full 104 key set.

i been wondering.if we buy keycaps from website. can we use the keycaps for all type of mechanical keyboard?standard size or have specific size for each model keyboard?
*
Generally, we tok about size, profile and height (and of course the right stem at the first place).

Size:
It is pretty standardised even the same as those normal fullsize non-mech kb out there. We call those single sized keys (like W, A, cursor keys and so on) 1X unit sized. Those modifier keys (alt, ctrl and so on) are normally (applied for mech kb, as non-mech kb usually had their own standard) 1.25X or some 1.5X. All other larger sized keys like tab, caps lock, enter, shift and so on also had their own predefined size.

Profile:
Normally for mech kb, we only care about DCS profile. At some rare case, some brands may be using uni-profile or some weird customised profile.

Height:
For the same DCS profile, different OEMs/brands also had their own height. But usually it won't be too much a issue as most of them are around the same. The lowest one in DCS profile should be Cherry (brand) keyboards which is around 2mm lower compared to most other OEMs.

For some reason, "300" scene suddenly popped out in my minds. And you bet...

It is the "THIS IS MADNESS"... tongue.gif

And the next is "This is forever alone!!!", ok, or may be not. LOTR's "My Precious" is more suitable.

It means 2 things:

1st, time for warranty
2nd, time for some custom mod

Owai, all those LED died in a go? And they are in a cluster? I suspect that there may be something wrong with the PCB or the circuit of it. hmm.gif

By the way, you like colored translucent keys with Ducky Shine 2's Reactive mode, this is what you'll get.

Actually I do planned such b4, but the price of Shine 2/YOD keep me away from it.

BTW, the LED is modded to different colors, not color changing LED right?

Found the answer, it simply is the effect of passing through colored keycaps.

Yes! You are very good becos I think it is called like what you said Force something or realforce, but I dont know if it's topre bcos at the top left logo is some force word no topre.

But yes, then how to get these stickers you were referring to - anyone can point me to an online link or someone here selling?

@mechanicalkb -- no i dont think she will like the liquid paper thingy on this keyboard - plus it will fade off. And it will look awful wont it if we handwrite the letters on the white paint.

Anyone point me to the right link?

Thank you very much!

I find it kinda meh, since it doesn't come with a shiny case.
The acrylic case I got from litster feels not as good when you have the metal ones around.
Spent $150 ($100+$50 shipping) and all I got was PCB, a plate, and some accessories *first world problems*

Well, have to sought own cases but WFD is working on one now afaik. Or you could go for filco custom cases which would probably fit as well (i think so?). The great thing about phantom is you are able to customize it(easily). Not to mention the amount of layouts available. biggrin.gif

I thought of hopping onto the Phantom GB but I think it's way over my budget and I think I'll be bad at soldering and screw something up for sure. Lol.
