Realforce, it is a brand of keyboard that using the Topre Capacitive Switch,

Keyboard sticker, some rough google and you will know what it is. There are really lots available in the market, try a search in garage sale and you will know it.

But is she the perfectionist type of ppl? If so might as well prepare another RM200-300 and go for the official aftermart keycaps (but some might not like the color, and black color also only got black fonts). Take a look again at my previous post for the link.

rclxms.gif Best reply.

@Serba --- I think you better get for her some proper keycaps replacement if she is using a Realforce (I have the same keyboard too). Someone replied here that he/she is selling this model of keycaps and should be around a few hundred ringgit for the keycaps. Salute!

Thats depend. Because the one you saw above is official merchandize for Realforce, which is well-known for the price.

Somemore, the market for Realforce aftermart keycaps are much much smaller compared to Cherry MX siwtch, thus it should be treated as a niche product, thus the high price.

BTW, RM100-RM120 is pretty decent/OK for a full set of PBT key caps for Cherry MX. Though, the black on black sub-dyed PBT from Kai is of even higher value. Details you better ask him yourself.

We treat it as a form of mechanical (as it do had mechanical part in the switch system).

More specifically, it should be called Capacitive Switch.

Details are available at 1st page.

But that keyboard in your link is no where near RM1000. sweat.gif
the key look similar thou, except they are for MX switch.

Should be careful of the switch compatibility, if he get the wrong one, the key won't fit.

maybe he took a snap shot of that image to show us how the keys look like,
not that exactly same keyboard that she have, in previous post he mention the keyboard has: black on black key, priced one thousand plus RM, and have some "force" on the brand tag, that lead a lot of us to think that is a Topre Realforce Keyboard.

Unless his friend paid over RM1000 for a KBT ....
that sound like be a Topre keyboard.

Hi all,
Sorry. I simply took any kind of keyboard picture from the internet to show my point of black ink on black keycaps. It was not that actual keyboard that my business partner purchased.

This is how it actually look like (zoomed in to show the black on black letters). Yes it is a Realforce but dont know if it is Topre or not since I didnt check properly & don't know much about keyboards (except that I thought she was just joking or I heard wrongly when she said her keyboard cost RM1200+ ... like what yasay???)

Yes, that's a Topre switch.
And yes, it costs ~RM1k++ http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub...keyboards,rf104
As someone mentioned earlier, Realforce is the brand with Topre switches. They won't put "Topre" on the board, like my Rosewill or Leopold does not have "Cherry MX" anywhere on the board. tongue.gif
