Keycool, plum, or whatever if the srp cannot be RM279 for the kb, it will be destroyed later by one of our brands. We don't want to deal with too many brands either.

But if we can keep it at rm279 then I fear for other brands with no led brows.gif

Have a deep thought on this.

"Gamers" will prefer a known brand(not necessary to have good products) non-BL TKL(Razer Tournament) or a unknown brand BL TKL at the same price. hmm.gif

Yes. That applies to general market which is a very strong point. But there is nothing "we" can do about it. However, for those who know better, they don't buy into marketing gimmicks.

We want to cultivate this kind of market and cater our products to those who know better. Those who associate a brand with more frags, they will buy into brands no matter what you tell them until they learned things the hard way

Good luck and all the best for your business. nod.gif

Um no we don't sell them to end user. Please call Heavy Arm or Cycom to purchase them

Added on November 28, 2012, 1:15 amWe're negotiating to deliver the 87 LED board to our market at RM 269-279 SRP. This may be the hottest selling TKL if we can make it happen
*
Kudos to you if you really manage to do that. The price of getting it from taobao + shipping will reach RM300+.

How about Regular TKl at RM199 at the same time? brows.gif Anyhow, we are in negotiation stage. If everything works out, we'd have them before Christmas. I hope everybody buys one biggrin.gif
*
Thats not bad, but as you mentioned, if too much choices, it will start killing existing local markets, including other brands carried by you.

I think QFR had secure the market for non-BL TKL already. Getting another Regular TKL will just provide another choices(and values) but isn't certain to be able to win the market. Just my 2cents.

Venture in the accessories market may harvest more profit IMO.

Added on November 28, 2012, 1:37 amIMO, items that carried by Keycool and had potential to be sell at local are:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10....id=19215064699&
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10....id=17322492166&
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10....id=15487989187&
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10....id=13927995185&

and may be the compact 84 layout, not too sure whether locals will prefer that layout or normal tenkeyless.

He means that you can't simply compare between PCB mounted and plate-mounted boards.

Each have their own way of functioning and advantages.

advantage...cheaper price? good for those with tight budgets imo
*
Not really.

AFAIH, PCB mounted switches are even pricier than normal plate mounted switch. As PCB mounting doesn't have the steel plate to support the position of switches, the switches had to come with 2 extra pins/legs (plastic pins) to ensure the switches being mounted onto it firmly.

PCB mounting also means easier to disassemble the switches (good for modder) and lighter overall weight of the keyboard (which is good for smaller travel keyboards).

Lastly, even the typing feels also had quite a significant differences. Plate mounted switches will feel more solid and hard while PCB mounted will feel more soft and elastic/flexible when bottom up the switches.

Of course, I don't deny that PCB mounting may cause a board to be "flexible" and less solid (I feel you with my Cherry MX 2.0 Board), but also thanks to that board, I realize that some switches (RED for me) actually feel better on PCB mounted boards.

BTW, PCB mounted yet solid and not much flexing boards do exist (Cherry 3000 series and PLUM96 are nice examples).

Forget which seller I got mine from, but 莫名小q seems the best option(cheapest) here. Personally dealed with him b4, notbad the services.

shmilyxlj should be ok also.

Added on November 30, 2012, 2:28 amAnd lastly, a word of advice, better opt for 顺丰快递 if available. Their service and packaging are top notch.

Warning huge picture.

probably linear, and stiffer than black...

Not sure if it is new gimmick for marketing or to cater the niche demand...

I want clear switches!
*
you can get 2nd hand clear at very cheap price in taobao, cost less than 50cents each(in bulk). Like what I had done, I ordered 2 units of function keys cluster from Cherry g9000, which is plate mounted(safer for shipping to here imo) and I assume that function keys of such keyboard(industrial keyboard) are not much used. I don't had a new switch for compare but those switch looks pretty new to me.

If you insist on new one, may be you should go for keycool then. Personally I feel that clear is overhyped, with the price started getting jacked up ever since cherry announced eol it.

i apologize once again that i missed all those post T.T  notworthy.gif

i cant read chinese so should i get a taobao agent?
*
lol don't take it so serious, none taken. Just stating that I had mentioned it before.

you must find a agent to help you get stuffs from taobao. Luckily ours are consider quite cheap compared to those in US.

As long as you know what you want, just quote ot to the agent(and pay the money) and he will handle the rest for you.

Not sure. But my last check on KBC products revealed that they actually still operating and refreshing their PBT/rainbow PBT products. Not too sure bout their dye-sub, so better have a look at IMSTO's store yourself.
