Planning to just get the SME 16GB and add the 32GB card for added memory, when it is launched in SG this Friday (19th).

My only concern, hmm, I haven't really try Note before - using an old Xperia all the while. Newbie question here; must you use the pen for everything or fingers will be just fine as well? I seen S3 before but I like the idea of having a pen when needed than not to have it entirely.

Plus I like the bigger size too =D
*
Yes..you can use fingers also. But need the SPen for certain features.

haha.. if KL doesn't have any, for sure JB won't have any too.  If Maxis does not offer Note II at good price by this Friday, I will delete this thread from my bookmark and refrain myself from visiting this poisonous sub-forum for 1 month or 2, wait till the price of AP 32GB grey to drop close to RM2k, then only buy.  blush.gif
*
32GB price normally stable very seldom change. Not like 16GB.
Best example S3 - 32GB

I am just thinking of scenarios where you are on the run, plucking out the pen and draw/write seems troublesome for a quick scribble. Well, looking forward to getting it this Fri - decided not to go for iPhone 5 anymore, especially after reading on the complaints bout iP5.
*
Stop running when you want to scribble something. Otherwise use your fingers. tongue.gif

This increasing lockdown by all manufacturers will increase the frustration of the hobbyist adopters like us. Well written piece by some open sourcer highlights this problem clearly. Unfortunately since people like us a only a very small minority of the overall user base, I wonder how devices like Note 3 and onwards will be like vis-a-vis mod-friendliness.
*
Truth is nobody ever manage to totally erase the reset counter. From what i know there got two or who knows maybe three type of counter. The one that we can reset (last time by jig..now had to use triangleaway) is the binary counter where it will increase with every un-official flashing.
Unfortunately by every binary counter we reset..it trigger hidden reset counter. This is where the technician will know that we illegaly force reset the binary counter and how many times we do so.
Good news is..Samsung seldom cares about this reset counter. In other words they knows but they just tutup mata and proceeds with our warranty claim.
But still..bear in mind that Samsung still have an absolute right to reject our warranty claim if they really wish to do so biggrin.gif

oh boy i believe the best we are getting now is around the 1st and 2nd.....why do i still see ppl asking abt
LTE phones....hmmmm
*
Maybe because they heard ours LTE network is coming real soon. That why i said..anybody taking plan/contract for this Note2..better take one year only. So if next year got LTE and Samsung provide us LTE phone then easy to take new plan.
LTE..!! FTW..drool.gif

of course need to know then we are prepared if we take AP now. And later SME set drop like hell it affect the resell value if LTE version comes out as well. If that person so smart he wont be talking crap he would create a guide and when someone ask he link to it. Please understand not everyone is so rich like him.

Anyone have the problem with S-pen Keeper setting after flashed firmware?
I flashed my firmware to Malaysia version, and now it won't alert when I walk away with the phone without the S-pen. It worked before I flashed it. Or I missed some setting? The S-pen Keeper option are checked now.
Any help?
*
Have you try factory reset your phone.
