totally agree bro, ios have better security because they protect and control many things, that's the reason why android user always shooting ios users os updating progress slow, apps approval slow, so and so... i support apple, microsoft secondly, never for android sometimes nor google actually... only love their search machine.  tongue.gif

i'm not sure whatever party i'm, but android is open sources, update fast, everything seriously move fast and more option to customize and tweak. that also causing more bugs, more security hole due to too open source, and then android devices will outdate so fast, if you know iPhone 3GS still be able to run most features in iOS6 at least it is still being supported by Apple. But what about Samsung Galaxy first generation?  brows.gif

no matter how, supporting of product Apple win, even though Apple got security issue once a while yet they are very strictly control in their system and approval (which may causes slow update as stated just now), so they can easily kill any loop hole or security issue, and this is the fact. Android system is so flexible, it got it's benefit, yet filling system and over flexibility giving loop hole for security issue...

and ya, in choosing phone, no longer JUST look at the phone spec and price, first thing to consider is the OS. I think more and more people know this now...

added... custom rom just add more bugs to your android phones.. that's why most android people don't root and use stock OS.. but the update from 1 os to other os are worse... only nexus is good with updates...

I would categorize u as no party. 1st party is u experiencing the security issue yourself. Telling from your own experience. Not hearing it from somebody else.

don't you know actually everyone also 1st party because every article also wrote by a writer, his own experience so and so, so do us the forumers... anyway, i'm here just to help...

Just say u don't have first hand experience la. I know I can Google but i want to hear someone with personal experience. Is nice to hear somebody say things like 'u know yesterday what happened to me.....bla bla bla' rather than 'today I'm going to do a review of security on android'. That's all. Afterall where better place can i get personal other than the forum.

and don't know why, new android phones get slows very fast... it get slower and slower per day... i think is the OS issue, not the phone... okay, okay... this paragraph is my own opinion.. opinion.. but the phone getting slower is many testimonies of my friends lah...

from my experience with android, u will mess up things if u take the initiative to just do that. my father have been an android user for years but he doesn't mess up things coz he doesn't know how. ignorance is a good thing.

i agree on your opinion to a certain extend. now i talk from personal experience. but i will state i am nitpicking here. for example my old phone galaxy s. when i first bought it my skype takes 15 seconds to load. but u know how updates are. every now and then the skype app get updated, and over the course of 1 year it got updated nearly 20 times. updating is good coz it puts more functions in there, but the hardware doesn't follow the same upgrade. so now 2 years later my skype takes 50 seconds to load. now, i am saying i am nitpicking coz its not constant throughout all apps. only some apps. also another reason, is u tend to overload the ram as time goes by. in the beggining i have nothing. then came whatsapp, then viber, then line, then yahoo, then...scramble with friends, then.....whatever else. everytime u install these apps it takes a chunk of your ram. u don't realise that coz endusers don't monitor ram like how geeks do. so after so many installations, your ram is so stuffed up u have no more room for your current apps to run smoothly. like my father for example. i load him whatsapp and viber and that's it. no other rubbish. he doesn't even know how to go to the play store to install other apps. and up to today his phone doesn't lag!

so back to the security issue. ignorance is the best security prevention mechanism.

ya... that's true also, but the only reason for me to go for an iPhone, is because everything is nicely backed up and i just need to click restore to use another new iPhone, i know Android also have such feature lah, not comparing but just to say I can't change. Another thing is, apple support is good, many people says why iOS keep abundant old devices, why iOS 6 no longer support iPhone 3G... but Android is updating quicker than iOS, and it actually abundant more devices behind them..
The security issue is, malware can get into Play Store easier than Apple's App Store...
Anyway, just a personal way of usage, I believe if there is a pro, no matter which OS he can boost its hidden potential... icon_idea.gif
