Hi guys, please help to recommend:

1. Preferred Brand: Any

It depends on what you want to use it for I guess.
If a stylus is not exactly very important to you, then there's no real point in getting the Vaio? hmm.gif
Here are the respective reviews:
Vaio- http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/s...aio-duo-11.aspx

XPS- http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-X...le.83325.0.html

I would go for the XPS because of its better touchpad and keyboard- thus better user-friendliness nod.gif

2. Budget: RM3K +-.
3. Usage: Gaming but minor, heavy programming and image editing & media
4. Preferred laptop/screen size:
- 14 inch or less (HD is ok, but if got FULL HD/HD+ better)
- light
- ultrabook
- prefer discrete graphic card, full SSD but mSata is ok
- Currently eye on : Acer M5, Dell Inspiron 14z
Wonder anymore ultrabook that i miss which fit my requirement + at least HD+/FHD. Asus Zenbook kinda out of my budget.

None. Even Acer M5 and Inspiron 14z do not offer HD+ resolution.
There are only a handful of HD+/FullHD ultrabooks (and all are not cheap). Do refer here for more details, look for notebooks with the purple "ultrabook" tag: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2026498

Can consider this one too if ultrabook is not a must:

Based on what I've read, the weird placing of the power button as well as other ports, and also the high heat when on load (pretty much unavoidable for ultrabooks with dGPU) are the main turnoffs for buyers

Considering a laptop, but wondering if I should wait for christmas sale / CNY sale next year. By then the market for windows 8 touchscreen lappies would have matured as well ^ ^

anyway, do you mind telling the difference between amd hd7550m and nvdia geforce GT60m?

Hi Guys, please recommend:

1. Preferred Brand: None but prefer ASUS/Lenovo ;-).
2. Budget: around rm2.5k
3. Usage: for student usage(office + gaming;PES/FIFA/COD/Prototype/Assassin Creed/GTA4).no hardcore photo/video editing.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14/15.6

I would also like brushed metal/aluminium casing if possible.
Backlit keyboard is a bonus.
