Hi guys! I'm planning to buy one soon and i really need some input here. Being rather indecisive.

1. Preferred brand: Dell/ Asus
2. Budget: RM2100 Top
3. Usage: More to watching movies (some HDs), listening musics and multi-tasking(being able to surf the internet, listen to songs and do some excel works at the same time)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: somewhere around 14"

The sifus here (apart from God Lee_what2004) no need to sleep one ar?  sweat.gif
14"
Asus [Ultrabook]K46CM-WX090V, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT635M@RM2099[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, 4-cell battery, W7HP, OD

Dell [Ultrabook]Inspiron 14z, i3-3217U + AMD HD7570M + 32GB mSATA + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2099[1.87kg], 4GB, W7HB, *no VGA port, OD

The Asus is more powerful in terms of the CPU and GPU, but loses out in terms of HDD speed. The Dell on the other hand is the opposite.

I would recommend going for the Lenovo S400 instead, its more balanced in terms of overall performance:

Can't really comment... the latest prices for W8-powered Sony models were not shown in their website yet hmm.gif

oh i see. cause i saw this model on display today Sony SVE15116EGW i5-2450M + AMD HD7550M[2.7kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W7HB *15.5". wonder whether it's decent enough to fit my requirements. But i think the model has probably been in the market for quite some time.

anyway, do you mind telling the difference between amd hd7550m and nvdia geforce GT60m?

W8-powered Sony laptops are gradually being released. Might want to wait for those if you really want a Sony laptop nod.gif
GT635M is better than AMD HD7550M nod.gif
