Called TM few times already regarding my internet speed. Just now the technician came and said something about the telephone line has too much noise. They check the cable outside the house but the problem still exist.

Couldn't get to the ip that doesn't throttle.. It is kind of stupid to pay more for online service other than isp.
VPN seems not cheap as well

I subscribe 4MBPS streamyx but my speedtest download speed only get around 1 - 2MBPS. Anything that I can do to increase my speed?

Streamyx 4Mbps package / Johor Bahru / D-Link DSL-2730E
I have tried to re-connect Streamyx in order to get a different set of IP, but still kena this DoS attack. No torrent, no DDNS, just normal web surfing. Who else is affected by this attack? The effect is my 4Mbps Streamyx becomes very slow. Turned off wireless also not helping   

How much we paying for Streamyx Combo 4mbps?

when TM are going to upgrade their copper broadband?

in my place i pay around RM65 per month to get unlimited 20Mbps copper broaband (actual speed around 17Mbps), i can choose faster  fibre BB, but i dont need the xtra speed, even then it is comparatively cheaper n faster then anything TM n maxis could offer, even with the higher wage (xchage rates) they hv to pay their employee here.

Over 10 years prices have not decrease but increased.

When Streamyx first launched, it was like RM66 lowest package 384kbps and RM88 for 512kbps
That was over 10 years ago, year 2001. If add rental, RM25, not even exceed RM100.

Other countries launch pricing start expensive and prices drop. The situation in Malaysia is opposite instead.

Also our SEA neighbour countries keep upgrding their packages speed every year without additional charges.

Take Thailand for example 2 years ago 6mbps for RM60, then in 2012 upgraded to 10mbps this year again upgrade to 13mbps every year increasing at no extra charges.

Singapore started with 50M as lowest package 2 years ago, then last year 200mbps few months back 1gbps.

I subcribed back then in 2003 with 1 year contract that time. Line rental not included. Modem that time like buy your own RM350 Aztech 350z something like that. If not rent per month RM77.
