Buleh fly antara 5~7km guna 5.8ghz patch antenna. Dalam gambar kat atas buleh nampak saya pegang radio dan vrx module kedua-dua guna patch antenna untuk jarak jauh. QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Mar 17 2016, 05:07 PM) too bad drone guna 5.8ghz wifi digital downlink...range less than 1km.... maybe later add booster with higher gain antenna You use 5.8ghz Wifi? Oh no...anything 'digital' wifi always short range. You must use analogue type 5.8ghz (the same technology use by CCTV cam) cos they can travel longer than Wifi. I only use stock minimal 200mw for my 5.8ghz still go very far. Booster will make it worse since it will 'knock' several type of frequency nearby. |

QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Mar 18 2016, 10:41 AM) yeap...stock bird already came with digital 5.8ghz wifi.... What kind of stock bird are you flying. A quad or a plane? Sound like HUBSAN since its the only thing reminds me of.and cant do much because the fpv monitor also built in the tx... not sure if changing from patch antenna into clover leaf antenna would help in better video feed? Btw i saw collection of cheap analogue 5.8ghz FPV models right here, looks like a great bargain here: http://goo.gl/w8kNpF That SYMA looks promising. QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Mar 18 2016, 05:24 PM) yuneec typhoon 4k...decent enough...just want more reliable fpv especially during orbiting big building that blocking direct signal between tx to the quad Hmmm.. actually if you can build yourself a DIY (Clover leaf) tuned antenna for 5.8ghz you can actually have extra 50% juice to get that frequency reflect around the building back to your ground abse. I manage to fly around some obstacle and building just as seen on my Youtube channel a lot. I even fly behind some big metal shipping container with clear signal.Btw sharing my Fixed wing drone FPV (Drifter Ultralight) weekend flight with flying clubs, this time the clouds run away from me: Videos: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(^pomen_GTR^ @ Mar 30 2016, 07:20 PM) so what actually happens when stuck in the cloud? rough flying? or total lost signal? If stuck just fly straight and find some opening out. Signal still strong and it does have telemetry, mostly you'll need to depend on OSD (Some HUD instrumental display) to keep your flight straight, leveled and pointed in proper direction, if you watch the below video you will see inset corner screen of live FPV view with OSD (HUD display) at certain segment of the clip that you can you to fly instrumentally without relying view from outside. Activate autopiloting is not wise in the clouds.do you have telemetry system? Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpbkcsxSjjo |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Mar 31 2016, 05:22 PM) i have a question on FPV equipment. i plan to use: Nope, not HD just like QiW says its analog type video. FPV technology derived from CCTV wireless technology something you find from security camera system. HD only possible via high latency WIFI video digital transmission.runcam -> 5.8Ghz vid TX -> 5.8Ghz 7-inch LCD RX something like this: http://www.banggood.com/Runcam-HD-Camera-B...-p-1040802.html question is, will the LCD be able to display the output of the runcam(being HD)? are there a specific requirement for the LCD/goggle receiver for HD cam? i think it will work, but need confirmation before actually buying things online. also, can runcam record while it is sending video ouput? I have sample of RUNCAM HD video with live video output recorded which shows quality during live flight (RUNCAM HD + 5.8Ghz) via screen as shown below: Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faqDBvr2RlY |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Apr 1 2016, 09:41 AM) ah..great. thanks guys. i dont need the output to be in HD, just need the output so i can see what i'm recording. Yes RunCam HD will record HD during flight full screen. Video record output only optional and possible via ground station.so the runcam can indeed record while it's sending video output? i'm referring to it recording into its SD card that is, not recording the video output on the LCD or receiving device. Here is sample of HD video recorded sung RUNCAM HD. Inset is analog overlay recorded separately for reference purposes.
