well, that depends on:

- what you want to do?
- your budget?
- skill level?

too many to choose from. you need to ask specifically to get a specific answer. else it's: "get want you can afford as your 1st drone".

For QX90c so far ok except for some complaints on flying props, why not get QX95 since its extra +5mm in length and racer like specification for almost the same price. I'm happy with my QX95 biggrin.gif

Btw here is another of my latest micro FPV drone; the EACHINE FatBee FB90, great for indoor flight and outdoor. Have same duct prop size, 90mm size and very powerful on 2S lipo. Seems to be more solid handling and stable than QX70. Here my flight video and unboxings/setup. Haven't broke anything during flight except for another flying prop incident.

Here are some FB90 details and my gallery.

Q90c is lighter and smaller while using the same component as QX95. i think the flying prop problem applies to all eachine's model that uses that motor/prop combo. just a hit or miss thing. the qx90 looks better with a prop guard than qx95 nod.gif .

already ordered yesterday, and now for the long wait. sweat.gif

You starting building from 0?
Then 1k will be quite less for that.
Because you maybe need extra 1 motor, ESC and props.
Also need cost on the charger power supply + battery

for the cheap solution, try some those syma x5 & x8 variant with cameras. since it will be your 1st, don't go with brushless.

as a first drone, don't get something with GPS, you wont learn anything with those things. unless your plan is not to learn anything about RC fliers and just take pictures laugh.gif

i would also advise against building your own 1st drone. concentrate on learning to fly instead of how to make it fly rclxub.gif .

now go shop away. a budget of 1k allows for a lot of choices thumbup.gif .

1K cant buy DJI nor Xiao Mi. lol

I see..you started really 0 skill?
So you buy hubsan 107 to learn low cost. and it small.

away from brushless unless you know what you doing...

you see those motors on the phantoms? those are brushless motors. it can be dangerous if you happened to lose control, especially to beginners.

is your friend into RC? suggesting a dji product to a beginner is like suggesting a ford mustang to someone who never drove a kancil. sweat.gif

DJI support sucks big time and the replacement parts are freaking expensive. buy DJI if your aim is to take aerial picture and not to fly. as i said, a phantom or something similar won't really teach you anything, it flies for you.

keep note in this hobby, you will crash, even as an expert. it's mandatory to crash laugh.gif . crashing a DJI product will burn a bigger hole in your pocket than crashing something like syma or hubsan.

Yep. I learn more on XK 251 and the 450 I build then the DJI. It learn 0 on RC skill. I learn more on PC simulator lol
And my P3s even sometime no video feed. Maybe plan to sell it.

the phantom is designed for "drone enthusiast" not for RC hobbyist. laugh.gif

while my phantom 2 takes nice aerial videos, i find flying it to be really boring. i like flying my old honeybee better thumbup.gif

throw away the gimbal and camera. stick your own preferred gimbal and camera = problem solved. laugh.gif

eachine has been coming out with a lot cheap racers recently. some are pretty decent for the price. after tuning or course.
