Collecting mine this weekend! Haha. Another big jump for me too. Coffee ritual Rm3.5k nett. That was before GST though i purchased it. Waited 6 weeks for this machine. Btw for those who are interested, Dankoff is selling at 3700++ after GST but comes with freebies such as tamper and milk pitcher if not mistaken. Not sure will the price remain or hike for Coffee Ritual after GST.
you're getting the red one or the black one? when you received it, do a simple review.. can?

If you want fresh coffee, maybe you can look into blaq coffee.
I got mine 1 week after roasting and it's ready to go by the time I received it.
Pricing wise it may be the cheapest but I guess you're paying for the convenience of having it delivered to your doorstep.

cheapest?.. can't really say so, bro..

Hi coffee addicts
Just "upgraded" to the Oscar + Grinta from my Encore + Kalita setup.
Must admit, there are tons of shit to learn.
I'm just starting to get used to properly tamping the shit and pulling consistent shots. Anyone here has any tips for a good routine?
Basically I heat up the machine for 30-35 minutes (making sure the steam wand is on and off when it fizzes), grind + tamp mein coffee, cold flush the machine until the water reaches steady state, then extract the shit.
Does pull pretty consistently so far. But I'm struggling with certain beans. Some medium sour-ish beans makes me flop hard.|
EDIT: Oh and anyone here knows how to properly "descale" this unit without taking it apart? I mean, our water in malaysia is quite soft at the same time yes? How many times do you do it per year?
Kthxbye.
whaaaaatt?!?.. 30-35min for a hx mesin?!?... what kinda siizzt have u just got there, bro?!?
kenot brain y u need such a long time for siizzt to drip after paying some good money for it..
u sure u no get a dude/lemon/zanchai?
btw, if the water is hard, then only it's meaningful to descale.. since u know it's soft.. (it actually depends on where[tf] ur, as some part of the country have naturally hard water as compared to the rest)..
