Another question, you know where to buy mantis shrimp? I bought mine from the Pet safari in Ikano, and I've never seen another one anywhere since then. I don't want those small ones that come as pest, I want big ones like mine.

depends on where you read the site from. cos different country, different location - tap water condition will be different.

The websites probably from some western country like USA. Is our tap water here very clean?

Test Kits 40 ?? Maybe more than that lah ... NO2 one about RM20, NO3 one about RM35, KH, PH about RM15 each ...

Can use our tap water, but the silicate deposits from our tap water will introduce ugly diatom (brown) algaes. Recommended to use mix salt-water for at least 1 day before introducing it into the tank.

Salt-water aquarium is easier to keep (provided u have appropriate equipments) compared to fresh water IMHO.

Me only FOWLR keeper, swingarm hydrometer would be enough.

Yalor, NO2 testkit only required during setup, after that no need to use liao. PH testkit also waste money, good salt-mix PH sure around 8.0~8.5 one.

now in my tank only got 3 damsels n 1 cardinal... last time i buy 1 clownfish n butterflyfish dead jor.. coz not same ph...

they say need to wait 1 more week till my water ph get better...

after this i planning to get 1 emperor angel n 1 blue tang

this thread was standing still till novo revived it 3 days ago,

i'm also a novice in marine aquarium..just setup my 4 feet tank 1 month ago....fish only tank (FOLR)
..now contains 4 damsel...for conditioning the tank...

waiting another 1 month before i'm putting more fish..anyone have secondhand chiller to sell?
