i need help regarding warranty registration.

Many including me fail to register warranty online. No problem coz it is still covered by International Warranty here.

erm, big-ish problem here.

I just got the Nexus 7 from un_id. I flashed the 4.1.2 factory image and stuff. Everything went well, until...

I tried to root it. Nexus 1 click doesn't do anything. It fails to mount /system as r/w, so everything else fails from there (failed to push su, fails to push a lot of things). Ended up cannot root.

Tried many times, still cannot. I fastboot flash recovery clockworkmod.imng manually also cannot. This thing just refuses to boot into recovery.

So, erm... Help?

Fastboot and ADB installed properly, if that helps.

Any good suggestion of kernel other than Clemsyn? I'm afraid of the battery life after flashing this kernel.

I think many nexus 7 user are galaxy nexus user.
Where its a habit n must to flash custom kernel to improve galnex.

Nex7 actually very smooth n fast due to quad core n jelly bean.

Tried the cna rom, Franco, and motley kernel.
Really feel no noticeable difference for smoothness. Like same only. Any effect may actually be placeboo. The difference I cn feel is motley make tab hotter when play game.

Just share my thoughts.
Feel free to explore urself. Have fun flashing.

LOL saw my problem. The factory image I flashed was too new. JZO54K. The MPSKIP Nexus toolkit was only able to flash JZO46K. The insecure image weren't compatible in the first place. If I knew wugfresh's toolkit worked with JZO54K you wouldn't see me going thru the next 2 para...

For some reason the 3.41 bootloader included in the JZO54K image just won't boot into recovery. Found that out after flashing recovery more than 10 times and had me thinking the recovery partition was corrupted or something. Thankfully this post saved me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...1928915&page=18

Had to reflash the old 3.34 bootloader to boot into recovery, from there flashed CM10 and GApps, and I was gold! Phew!
