QUOTE(amir_tengkorak @ Oct 28 2011, 09:53 AM) Hmm..ok this one can link back to my flexi pipe/nenas story.. Piping sizes does play a part, but the sifu welding them together also must be good......especially when 1.5" join to 1.7" to 2". Going from small to big can be okay, but if you got some that go from big to small pipe then the sifu must be good....My current nenas actually 1.7 inch with 1.5 inch flange to mount the piping.. So the nenas itself from extractor welding point, goes smaller in diameter because of the 1.5 inch flange. So that is where my exhaust system creates back pressure.. After the 1.5 inch flange,it is mounted to 1.7 inch piping,2 inches mid bullet,1.7 inch piping till rear 2 inches inlet straight flow muffler.. So..can u guys imagine my exhaust system? rojak.com.my |

QUOTE(amir_tengkorak @ Nov 1 2011, 10:56 AM) Wah! Weber......Depends on application also. Those days tested on Civic very powerful, but apply to Accord, not really that good... We did try a 2nd Gen Honda Prelude with twin side draft Weber..... Can match BMW 323i pick up..... |

Rear muffler once the damping material breaks away, usually fiber glass, the sound also different already, but I saw last time have one unit that can open up (using screw to secure) and replace the fiber glass......

QUOTE(Zaypher @ Nov 6 2011, 09:42 PM) i got that pic from internet. Well, im sure it's somebody's car Not sure what you mean the front of the battery? Isn't the battery already behind?Yeah, there's a heatshield there...but was wondering whether it'll be better to extend the air filter to the front of the battery... Anyway, the pics shows a direct piping, if extend to the side (the very front or side of the battery) then the piping will be curved. Piping already from large to small to fit TB size..... |

Actually I prefer the first one. Yes, the further from heat is better, but we are talking about CAI while driving, therefore blocking the heated air from the radiator is the main thing that is why most covered air intake have their nozzle up front just under the bonnet, or near the headlights area.
The first pic clearly shows that the separation is done and cool air is directly from the front. The second pic shows that the open pod is now a close pod similar like original...... This post has been edited by vr2turbo: Nov 8 2011, 07:46 AM |
