QUOTE(the_catacombs @ Dec 20 2011, 11:54 PM) depends on how "out of tune" is ur current carburetor setting... in most case, it only gives smoother drive compare to carburetor.... if ur carburetor is well maintained and tuned, i see no reason why fuel injection will be more superior... Well said..... the only reason for people to convert fuel injection is that if the carburetor no longer able to support the change in engine setup... for example, increased in displacement, using aggressive cam profiles, forced induction... increased in displacement... for aisan carburetor, fuel jets are not interchangable... they only have such limited tuning frame to work with... on higher revs, it might not be able to supply enough fuel to the engine... aggressive cam profile... on fuel injection, fuel trimming with absolute control on ignition timing is vital in producing proper fine tuning for an engine to run aggressive cams.... i'm talking about cam degree way above 292deg.... without fuel injection management, ur engine might not even able to maintain revs in idling... forced induction... for obvious reason, air delivery into engine is not linear compare to naturally aspirated engine... sudden surge of boost needs sudden additional supply of fuel into the engine... u cannot do that with carburetor... well, at least not with high boost pressure... With mod, I would easier to do with ECU, can override, can piggyback, whereas Carb is difficult. Only option maybe Weber aftermarket Carb. to increase fuel feed.... |

QUOTE(Jajay Chong Hon Keat @ Dec 21 2011, 10:58 AM) Fuel injection actually helps to monitor more correct air fuel ratio. Air flow sensor sense more air, then ECU will pump in more petrol and so on. It can help slightly in FC, but in power wise, as bro. catacombs mentioned, if carb tuned correctly also have the power..... |

QUOTE(Jajay Chong Hon Keat @ Dec 25 2011, 06:21 PM) Parents are like this, care about you mah....... You still young, take your time doing it up, maybe by that time you can afford to, you can buy one instead of mod one. Of course if new cannot get at first there are older Evo 6 and 7 that you can look if not some Subaru WRX ver. 6 or 7..... |

As far as I know changing the rear sports muffler back to original will make your high end slower as exhaust gas cannot go out fast enough. Maybe change to a quieter sports muffler mentioned by the members....
