Guys, currently my 4G13 is using the stock exhaust system. Is it recommended to change just the extractor to 4-2-1 and the stock iswara muffler to S-flow type without changing the piping? BTW,what's the inches is the piping? One of the shop recommended me to put the bullet with swirl one. He claim that it would have a better pick up and FC improve. Is it true? I read most of the people replied here that the swirl bullet inside the hole will decrease the top speed.

If just change the extractor alone will increase hp abit?
*
change abit, improve abit.. change the whole thing, improve alot lor...

recommended piping size 1.7" diameter...

my mech told me, says that the joint between the 4-2 and the 2-1 header is leaking; would it contribute to power loss?

hope this is the place to ask.. i'm looking for my first performance mod on my 4g13 satria (manual, injection)..  guessing i should start with exhaust and intake.. should i go for open pod or drop in?

and how much is the powerzone 4-2-1 extractor for 4g13/5?
*
rm4xx... not sure... hehe...

intake should go for drop-in...

QUOTE(pokgaizai @ Mar 29 2009, 02:01 AM)
low rev, now is still lagging, campro.  shocking.gif
*
if wanna improve low end, dun make ur extractor shorter lo... ppl cut shorter the 4-2-1 is to make high end smoother (more towards 4-1 characteristics)... when there is much more free flow in da exhaust, ur low end will be less good as no backpressure to build low end torque...

its lagging not due to the exhaust system...
its the DRIVE BY WIRED system...
*
yeap... but if he couple it with shorter 4-2-1 extractor, low end will be even more sluggish...

QUOTE(shareal @ Mar 31 2009, 10:21 AM)
guys i got question to ask,

my 4-1 extractor o2 sensor is below the 4 piping (near nenas)...n other extractor i see their 4 piping is small than me and their o2 sensor is hooked on one piping...what is it means?

and what's the difference between stainless steel n steels? is it for 'bling bling' purpose only ?
*
hook to main piping after the 4 piping is better than hook to 1 piping... if 1 cylinder has problem, it wont affect the tuning much...

Header wrap can cause the metal to become brittle and break like biscuit.
This guy really johnkor?
Looks nicer, prevents corrosion..but my friends chrome header now looks gold...weird,maybe the plating too thin..

Shiny surfaces reflect heat, not sure it this has any effect on the outside of the header but maybe chromed inside might be good for turbo applications?.. hmm.gif
*
chrome plating turns gold means nice.... chrome plating with the chrome surface chipping off means no good...

for exhaust manifold, best is to do ceramic coating instead of chrome coating... i dont see any advantage in chrome coating besides being bling...

catabombs - but i heard ceramic coating will damage ur o2 sensor rite? ^o)

i mean it will read readings wrongly?
*
why it damages ur o2 sensor??... u ceramic coat ur o2 sensor as well meh??....

it is suppose to have better advantage as exhaust gas heats up quicker.. hence, ur o2 sensor can start working faster....

o2 sensor will only send out signal when it is up to it's operating temperature...

yes pretty much worthless, unless its from wira se...

if from wira se, changing to powerzone extractor wont gain u alot of horsepower... wira se extractor is kinda good enough...
