I rarely check firmware version but since you guys pointed here, one of my customers asked me to check.
So, I poked in my Maxis SIM card and I can see this:
Firmware version is BD_HI3GMF680V1.0.0B01
Software version: PCW_HI3GSEP 18EV 1.0.0.B03

The purple LED did turn on when I tried in my office just now. smile.gif

I guess everything is OK? I saw B03.

that's the B03 that everyone need now notworthy.gif

Hello guys, decided to post in this thread today after weeks of lurking tongue.gif

I'm on Unlimited Plan now thumbup.gif

I checked my QoS on MDMA, Uplink and Downlink both 8640.

My question is, is it worth to buy ZTE MF680 from blacktubi tongue.gif with this kinda Up & Downlink?

Actually I'm thinking to buy Huawei E372, but the RM350+ price.. sweat.gif

again,

same answer as i given before,

depends on a few factor,

- personal budget
- preferences
- experience with the brand notworthy.gif

I think buying ZTE MF680 should be no problem for me, my concern is just the 8640 QoS.

Hmm.. Should I get MF680 first and complain about the QoS to Maxis? Do they even bother to upgrade or do something if we complain about QoS?

Thanks Chuah..

the QoS is base on a few factor:

- which area u are in
- what device u are using
- what kind of sim u are using
- what channel of network you are log on to

Maxis wont be able to answer you or assist you due to QoS is different in every area

example:

if u are 42000/8640 QoS but in very congested area, you will having speed 3~5Mbps only

if u are 16000/8640 QoS but in very less crowded area, you might have 13~16Mbps and max out the 16000 in midnight even,.

hope those info help notworthy.gif

so u mean after u set to UMTS2100 only in MDMA band config,

no more data traffic flow ? then u can see the CELL ID or not ? hmm.gif

if can see CELL ID, then should have data flow
