It is available in the settings where you can set 3G as preferred and once 3G down will switch to Ethernet WAN until 3G is back

you can refer to quick setup menu in the router. if you connect tm modem to mr3420, you should disable either tm modem or mr3420's dhcp server. otherwise it would be ip conflict.

p/s: blacktubi already answer it. late comment doh.gif doh.gif

I'm running load balancing and failover on 2 x 3G connections (2 sets of 3G routers and modems) using ZeroShell in VM. brows.gif

I think we can do load balance and failover using OpenWRT as well but need to install additional package. Haven't got a chance to try it out yet.

as long as the modem is detected and there is an appropriate dialer to initiate the connection, I don't see why it doesn't support. WiMax uses different type of dialer though, that's why it doesn't support. Still waiting for someone to create a package with OpenWRT to use Yes4G.

MR3420 flash storage is only 4MB, need to either use a USB flash drive to get more packages or use better router like 1043ND which comes with 8MB.

Maximum speed I can get in my area with E372 DC-HSPA+ is around 3-4Mbps, running multi-threaded torrent and IDM with another E367 can top around 6Mbps. I guess I will need to get another E372.. Overall, still can't compete with all those double digits download speed users. tongue.gif

i probably should find myself a mr3420 to try, it will improve stability and consistency on my network, right? not talking speed yet

will it affect the dc-hspa+ of mf680?

Stability = Probably yes, I got client keep D/C after using router no more
Speed = Maybe yes

Affect DC-HSPA+ = As long as you didn't do anything to the firmware of MF680 then it's good rclxms.gif

yea, some area the speed is just very low no matter what device/method/signal,.. like blacktubi area congested eevry day/night, well in few years time my block of flat will losing this best signal,..because there will be another 2 block of 29th floor storey apartment in front my block. and i am at 11th floor only,. but that is fw years time yet

yea those load balancer packages confirm need more than 4MB storages space, using flash driver adding on will be stable ? hmm.gif

OpenWRT already takes up most of the 4MB. Installing 3G packages will make it almost at the limit. Most 3G modems already come with a MicroSD slot. Might want to try that. I'm also noob in Linux as well.. need to explore but no time
