It is available in the settings where you can set 3G as preferred and once 3G down will switch to Ethernet WAN until 3G is backRedundancy

you can refer to quick setup menu in the router. if you connect tm modem to mr3420, you should disable either tm modem or mr3420's dhcp server. otherwise it would be ip conflict.
p/s: blacktubi already answer it. late comment This post has been edited by shamnh: Oct 19 2012, 07:16 PM |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 19 2012, 07:32 PM) I'm running load balancing and failover on 2 x 3G connections (2 sets of 3G routers and modems) using ZeroShell in VM. I think we can do load balance and failover using OpenWRT as well but need to install additional package. Haven't got a chance to try it out yet. |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 19 2012, 08:51 PM) that's the new thing blacktubi discover as long as the modem is detected and there is an appropriate dialer to initiate the connection, I don't see why it doesn't support. WiMax uses different type of dialer though, that's why it doesn't support. Still waiting for someone to create a package with OpenWRT to use Yes4G.i was thinking may be it support the ZTE MF820D for up to DC-HSPA+, anything above like LTE proably wont work ? this will have to wait till LTE launch then can onyl find out Added on October 19, 2012, 8:57 pm QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Oct 19 2012, 08:52 PM) yea i saw load balancing add on on open wrt websites,. but i am noob for sure in linux, MR3420 flash storage is only 4MB, need to either use a USB flash drive to get more packages or use better router like 1043ND which comes with 8MB.guess we just need to install from updates and config it a bit ? wondering 2 x DC-HSPA+ of maxis speed will be how fast Maximum speed I can get in my area with E372 DC-HSPA+ is around 3-4Mbps, running multi-threaded torrent and IDM with another E367 can top around 6Mbps. I guess I will need to get another E372.. Overall, still can't compete with all those double digits download speed users. This post has been edited by maxcheam: Oct 19 2012, 09:00 PM |

i probably should find myself a mr3420 to try, it will improve stability and consistency on my network, right? not talking speed yet
will it affect the dc-hspa+ of mf680? This post has been edited by noobandroid: Oct 19 2012, 09:00 PM |

Installing 3G packages will make it almost at the limit. Most 3G modems already come with a MicroSD slot. Might want to try that. I'm also noob in Linux as well.. need to explore but no timeyea those load balancer packages confirm need more than 4MB storages space, using flash driver adding on will be stable ? |
