Seems like many fellow barbs are excited bout 105 and tweaking their build around. Nice to see so many diversity of builds and ideas ahead of 105. Will try my best to do highest MPlvl possible too with my 1H+SS build. Will switch to HOC + Strength/Vit/AR/LS belt in case survivability is an issue while sacrificing some DPS.

Be patient and have to keep trying bro... I did 4 uber kill on MP8 and got 2 of those organ. Hopefully I can get the last piece to craft my first Hellfire ring by this weekend.

I like your build bro amiranna, I am a shield build barb too. I think you can definitely drop even more hp to gain DPS instead. Agree with what cheer83 suggested on the amulet and ring, would like to add that you can swap those amethyst in your pant and Ice Climbers to ruby too. Did some tweaking on my own barb recently if you want some humble reference for more dps...

Same here~! Being a 1H + Shield barb since Inferno might have drain my interest and the amount of 'fun' I have in game. I can't do WW, DW or 2H effectively so I've picked up a 300th spear and decided to give full throw barb a try and I must urge any of fellow barb to at least give Weapon Throw / Ancient Spear a try, it's FUN!
That being said this is how I build my "Throw Barb", basically once warcry and battle rage (into the fray) is up, start throwing stuff and use ancient spear (dread spear) to heal or regain fury (in case ran out of fury). If being swarmed or situation where you need to kite, keep Rending to keep hp up. Rend also can be use once u hooked a mob near you with Ancient Spear, useful to keep your hp healthy for at least 5 secs. Item wise, 300th spear (imagine 40-50% extra dmg from 100-200k dps as a rough estimation) and any armor with reduce fury cost for Weapon Throw (to allows more Weapon Throw attempt) is highly recommended but not compulsory. Try to slot in No Escape passive for additional 10% dmg, Ancient Spear cooldown reset and fury regeneration chance via critical hit. While doing all of the above, keep spamming Overpower (Killing Spree) to keep 10 chc buff up as much as possible. If you're geared to have high base chc, swap in any other skill you might think useful. Kindly share it here too for other barbs reference.
My Weapon Throw build

Hey bro Haruan, thanks for mentioning and good to see Shield still being very useful in higher MP defensively or when a party needed a tanker in Uber bosses. I'm still keeping those equipment like Stormshield and HOC around for uber and high mp tanking. Throwing stuff most of the time nowadays... lotsa fun!

Yeah I'm still keeping my Stormshield and HOC in stash for party which need a tanker. Got into Throwing when I'm kinda bored and stagnant with 200k dps mark using a shield for quite long. Game feel refresh to me learning to be a range hero and throwing out axes most of the time now lol

Survival > DPS IMO, dead bodies can't deal dmg. That being said, balancing both is the key with MP level available.

Ricochet multiple target certainly reflect all dmg done, in fact all kinda dmg done on reflect dmg affix will be reflected back to us. Even those illusions on illusionist affix reflect dmg back too beside the actual unit itself lol. I personally reduce those dmg taken back by using Rend (Blood Lust) and stacking better life replenishment on regen, loh and ls.

If the situation doesn't favor you to get near bunch of mobs, try using Ancient Spear (Dread Spear - Gain Life equal to 60% of the damage inflicted) which will give decent healing. Once you hooked the particular mob near you, use Rend (Blood Lust) to further enhance healing. That does the trick for me on handling RD affix elite without needing to skip/run around searching for other mobs for life replenishment. Hope it works for you and others too.

Seriously Ancient Spear with Dread rune... hp will be back up to full once I manage to hook any mob accurately. The healing also works on heavy mobs like Colossal Golgor/Demonic Tremor/bosses etc. which is immuned to the Ancient Spear hook (as long as you hit the target accurately anyway).


Disagree, there's always a choice in build, gameplay and solution in handling elite with certain affixes and situation. With enough life replenishment i.e; life regeneration, life on hit and lifesteal, one doesn't need to do the kiting as per your description.

I respect it if that's your solution on dealing with RD affix. What I'm disagreeing on is that 'kiting' and seeking other mobs for life replenishment cannot the only choice in dealing with RD affix as per your earlier post. Peace~

Seriously 'Health-link' and 'Extra Health' affix on MP10 is like hitting a wall for me too whenever the party do not have a decent Monk who will spam Mantra of Conviction for the team.

I really doubt there's any better off-hand compare to the 300th spear for weapon throw build. The skill bonus is simply too good to be ignore IMO. For freeing up skill slot to have Rend (Blood Lust), I agree Sprint look most likely to be sacrifice-able from your skill build. Cheers and good luck trying Ancient Spear (Dread Spear) + Rend (Blood Lust) combo on dealing with RD in game, please do share your experience here.

I don't know if it's easier to maintain WOTB on WT comparing with other build, but it's definitely possible to do that in WT barb bro Haruan. Yes 300th Spear Max WT bonus is 50%. You can use Mighty Weapon as main hand to regenerate more fury, but I manage to maintain WOTB without having Fury issue by using EF. Hope it helps...
