to be honest, NFC is solely a re-packaged version of contactless chips...nothing more than that, the only difference is that the readers are linked to the phone and is further processed from there...though in theory, any phone with USB OTG enabled should be able to install and use contactless readers, provided it has the drivers for it...

but as for, it being able to read the MyKad, i am somewhat skeptical about it, as I believe the MyKad is solely a contact chip..the MyKad has TnG on it, high chance it is reading that instead..

ya, i think so... contactless chips... usually no need to show itself. the exposed chip we see on MyKad is actually for the main MyKad purpose.
*

MyKad actually have 2 chip, one is the contact chip you see on front, the other is TnG chip which is contactless burried in MyKad. if you observe on either 4 edges, one will have strange shape. that's where the TnG chip located. TnG chip is NFC actually.

Use them as NFC tags lo.
Get in car, touch TNG card to turn on GPS, turn off Wifi, start Waze, set brightness to 80%, etc.
Get back home, touch MyKad to turn off GPS, turn on Wifi, set brightness to 40%, volume to 50%, etc.

Haven't tested extensively, but surely got apps to do this. Maybe Tasker supports NFC as well?

For third party NFC chip, try Trigger or other third party NFC reading app.
Some default NFC reading app (come in phone) support their own-made NFC chip only.

Try Trigger (it's an app), or searching other alternative in app store.

touch and go card is a NFC tag (locked) it self tat sets to be able to reload and pay toll when contact with the terminal.

but if u have an empty NFC tag (unlock) u can set command to it with ur phone/nfc tasker device

i understand now...so our NFC enabled phone only able to programmed an empty chip, instead of being used as normal NFC (e.g: swipe ur phone on TnG tag instead of TnG card)
