QUOTE(jasonhor @ Sep 13 2012, 10:10 AM) You don't need to buy expensive NFC new tags in order to achieve this usages. Just grab AnyTAG NFC Launcher from Google Play, it is free and I believe you will enjoy it. Nice app! Glad to know that we have local developers working on NFC app.Link to Google Play Store btw, I'm author/owner of AnyTAG. Idea/bug report are welcome. How do you compare anyTAG with NFC reTAG? I think your interface is nicer. |

QUOTE(Ubitap @ Sep 13 2012, 04:42 PM) Nice app! Glad to know that we have local developers working on NFC app. Functionality wise more or less is the same i thk, except it can write data into tag too. How do you compare anyTAG with NFC reTAG? I think your interface is nicer. Many feedback retag interface is too ugly. This post has been edited by jasonhor: Sep 13 2012, 05:49 PM |

A Swiss entrepreneur uses NFC to make smarter socks. He puts NFC tags on socks that he sells. A reader would then read the status and send it to iPhone via bluetooth.
Your phone would know which socks belong together, when you bought your socks, how often you have wash your socks. Ridiculous? I don't know. Too bad he uses iPhone, which is not readily NFC-enabled thus additional NFC reader is required. |

QUOTE(jasonhor @ Apr 25 2013, 01:31 PM) actually it is possible and the infrastructure is already there..just that users do not have access to the security chip only.but i also suspecting it might be possible if we put the NFC tag into a read state and just wait for the incoming APDU and then process it. so if we write an "00 00 00 00 00", it should put the NFC reader into read and wait for a response APDU and then we hijack it from there on..plus since NFC is all about us sending our own APDU and processing it ourselves, it might be possible. but you would need to write a lot of codes to enable it to emulate a tag. QUOTE(riku2replica @ Apr 25 2013, 03:26 PM) Even for those bank machine comes with TnG Reload capability comes with external device that does the decryption/encryption communication between the TnG card and reader. that communication can be made through software also..not really complex in theory..if we break it down, its all APDU commands.. |

QUOTE(alexchin91 @ Apr 27 2013, 11:09 AM) Can i set a particular task to be performed into my rapid token and let either my phone or friends' phone tag on it which then performs the same task ? Those tokens are read only. The tasks are stored in your phone not in the token. The app that you use read the ID of the token and associate it with the tasks. So no, you friend's phone will not do the same task unless you program your friend's phone to do exactly the same tasks as yours. You need to get writable NFC tags so that you can store the tasks in the tag using app like NFC Task Launcher. With this, your friend's phone will do the same tasks without having to set anything in their phone. |

Once reason I like my Xperia tags, actions are stored in the phone, not the tags. I don't have to worry too much about the tags having enough capacity, etc. |
