I'm not saying u are definitely wrong, but it is a baseless accusation. But hey, if any player can make or break a manager's appointment and career, let him be the best player in the world. Kobe had his second coming, after the departure of shaq. Who better to compare to if not Kobe (if we are talking about player>>>club situations) Maybe we shall have Pep one day, but without the like of xavi and iniesta, but with someone in the mould of Pau Gasol of football, and maybe lift the UCL again? Hahaha...

Thirdly, although the verdict is still out on the current board with sandro on the top, i think sometime he needs to be more decisive and less hesitant. But not getting a great mandate, in fact hated by many socios doesnt help either. But he is putting all his egss into this messi basket, hopefully it will pay off ala lakers.

Although Laporta, with all his mistakes and his secrecy about them, he did achieve a lot and went from strength to strength with us. Do we want him back? Debatable, as he also left us in a financial state of sh!t, which is according to Sandro, so nobody knows if it is true. Second coming for Laporta guys?  tongue.gif

Hahahah I like this analogy but I would like to add a twist to it.
Howard got van Gundy fired cause he wants his own and what happened?
Let's not hope Messi goes the Howard way smile.gif

so, basically, barca board is just looking somewhat at a head coach that knows how to play the kiki-lala footie, eventhough without much success in his career? bad move i'd say.

Barca holds philosophy in a high regard as they want to follow one philosophy so getting a man who shares the same philosophy is paramount.
For that same reason the board rejected Mourinho in favor of Pep.

I didn't like Mourinho's defensive style (back then) and didn't understand why there were so many rumors in the papers back then.
I'm glad they rejected him. I thought it was going to be van Basten though.

I really like Madrid's summer activity so far except for Bale.

Isco is the one that got away for me. He is and could've been the heir to Iniesta at Barca. He is to me going to be as good or even better than Iniesta. I've been watching European football since 1995 and to me Isco is in the top 10 in terms of talent.

And he is a Barca fan to boot. Just like Ozil and Modric. And soon to be Suarez. I guess Madrid likes to sign Barca loving players laugh.gif

Illaramendi is good but was surplus to requirement for me.

To make matters worse, Isco, Illa and Ozil were all offered to us last season (not Ozil of course) but the board rejected.

Now the only young player that I would like Barca to sign is Oliver Torres. He impressed me A LOT in that cameo appearance vs. us at the end of the season. He's going to be amazing. Different type of player compared to Isco. Oliver is closer to Thiago. Hopefully they included a 1st option as a trade off to the low transfer fee of Villa. Villa seems already to be working to influence Oliver as they are team mates rclxms.gif

And he is Barca friendly too. But I won't be surprised if they won't go for him as we have someone similar in Sergi Samper.
I guess it's just a matter of time Madrid will snap him up. It doesn't even matter that he's from their cross town rivals. Money talks.

I do agree that they have bought very well this off season. Unless they really pay 100m pounds for Bale, then it makes our eu57m for neymar look like a steal. Lol
But I have to say, Isco+Illa+Carva is a sick trio.
Which brings me to my point, i hate the indecisiveness of sandro, how long did it take for them to get Neymar? 3 years? And if it wasn't a sign of interest from Real, we might still be negotitaing the deal into a stalemate now.
Be decisive, know our top targets, go there with an offer they can't refuse and wrap things up. Bidding from the bare minimum/below minimum and slowly increasing is the arsenal's way. Which explains their inactivity despite a massive kitty and also, lack of trophies. Hope no gunner sees this tongue.gif icon_rolleyes.gif laugh.gif
