there is a concern the conflict could escalate and involve NATO, etc . This would be like World War 3.

Has anyone participated in dividend investment plan with FIRST reit, Maple Industrial Trust. Do we only need to reply yes in application form only once, or need to apply every quarter?

If u opt for div reinvestment, big possibility you will end up with some odd lots which is diff to sell.

Yeah thought about that, but the benefits outweigh that.
You save on brokerage charge and some give you a slight discount on share purchase.
If you keep long term, the odd lots will sort itself.

PS, SGX will allow lot sizes of 100 shares in early 2015.

this is good news.

if min 100 shares instead of 1000, drp will become more attractive than cash in most cases.

i hv so far opted for cash due to this odd lot problem, will watch out for 19 jan 2015!

Anyone using maybank online stocks to trade SGX? How much do they charge for dividend payouts?

what do you think about the weakening of the EURO against SGD? Should be detrimental for IRIET's yield no? hmm.gif

A Major Risk

The gross rental income earned by IREIT Global’s initial portfolio of four German properties has a really high tenant concentration: The REIT’s top five tenants collectively accounted for 98.9% of its gross rental income as of March this year. In fact, one tenant, Deustche Telekom, contributes 79.5% of IREIT Global’s gross rental income. It will be troubling for unit-holders if the REIT’s important tenants go bust or pulls out of the properties.

also currency risk like u pointed out.

Yeah, Europe is now in negative interest rate. There is no point for them to keep money in banks any more. People are moving to the Aussie dollar. The Aussie is a mystery to me, why so popular? The population less than Malaysia. Mining boom is over. Property overpriced.
