Make these 3 counter your highest holding; Sembcorp, Keppel and DBS. Buy in truckload during bear market. another round RIGHTS ISSUE. Really hate this Rights issue thing.. give me Maths homework to do...!!!! Don't buy reits. |

They probably have some grand plans readied. Then yield masuk pocket sendiri Was informed that they will relist in JPX with lower yield expectations, thus higher price of shares expected. |

QUOTE(prince_mk @ Jul 2 2017, 11:01 AM) MLT has quite a num of properties at few countries like Korea, Japan, Australia, China, HK etc. However, the dividend is around 6%++ . what made you to buy this counter ? just curious. ReasonAims's portfolio is mainly in Sg. However, the dividend given is ard 8%+. MLT has many properties in few countries but the dividend given is ard 6%+. Same goes with Maple Industrial trust. Why ? anyone know ? 1) my dividend was 7%+ when I bought. I think > 7.5%? 2) diversify. Never really like concentrated in onr area if possible. 3) Capital gain of ~15% since buying. Aims property age faster than others so demand higher yield as property will lose price faster vs MLT. Don't know about MIT. If I want to buy MIT, better I pick Acendas since both around same dividend. (not vested with MIT/Acendas) Will I buy some more in the future? Yes. But not at current price. |

QUOTE(elea88 @ Jul 11 2017, 10:16 PM) i am eyeing I am skipping QAF. Reason. No more recurring income from Gardenia Malaysia. I am lookiing at Raffles Medical. Keep dropping. Don't know where is the bottom. Also looking at CEI. Potential 9-10% dividend tech manufacturer stockPCI LTD but very low volume. QAF .. looks like bottoming... thats why I.. can end up with many many many counters... to continue top up my existing counters also difficult, coz price is high. QUOTE(prince_mk @ Jul 11 2017, 10:16 PM) GOOD QUESTIONS. No. Bitcoin is a bubble. Besides spread is high (regardless you use SG/MY to exchange). The only way to get it cheap is get from US exchange. Btw, what do you guys think of Bitcoins ? reliable investment product ? http://gotmoneygothoney.blogspot.my/2017/0...currencies.html http://gotmoneygothoney.blogspot.my/2017/0...nge-part-1.html Good thing that bitcoins have plenty of support: 1) use to buy drugs from the dark web 2) Use as payment for ransomware. QUOTE(Showtime747 @ Jul 12 2017, 12:28 PM) Another million dollar questions on which currencies to hold : I think RM will appreciate. Cause it's ok for the RM to appreciate against the USD and not depreciate the USD. Depreciate against the USD is embarrassing. If market crash really happen in the near future, how would it affect our currencies ? (USD, S$, A$, GBP, CNY, JPY.....) My guess will be US market will start the ball rolling. So, USD will come down first. And fund manager will scramble to other safer markets (JPY ?). So other currencies will gain over USD And Gold will soar, Bond will be snatch up.... How would RM perform ? Will RM still peg to USD ? Should we hold RM or change to S$ or A$ or JPY NOW in anticipation of picking up good value stocks IF market crash ? |

QUOTE wongmunkeongi can't handle complex But you mentioned you are using Options to generate money? Isn't derivative more complicated? QUOTE(elea88 @ Jul 12 2017, 03:26 PM) "but future purchases will be via GLD" I think GLD = SPDR Gold ETF. They are can be bought from SGX (more expensive) and US (much cheaper). Doing that eliminates the spread from buying traditional gold bar/buying gold from PB/Maybank as that ETF reflects the current price of gold. what is GLD. what is TDA-SG ACCOUNT? i hv PB GOLD saving book too. Started 2008 when price RM91.15... last added was in 2010 at RM170..I top up everytime i walk into PUBLIC BANK.. till now have not withdraw any... Do not think its good return. as its just $$$ sitting there. No income unless sell. TDA-SG ACCOUNT = TD Ameritrade SG for buying into US stocks. Quite expensive broker. Use to be defacto stockbroker for those wanting to buy Irish democile ETF as it was commission free. All that change when TD Ameritrade close that door to Asians. They are forcing Asians to pay for previously commission free ETFs. Now only Ang Mo get to buy commission free ETF. Better US stocks broker exist at USD4.95/trade. But not sure if they allow Malaysians as customer. This post has been edited by Ramjade: Jul 12 2017, 03:50 PM |

QUOTE(Hansel @ Jul 12 2017, 04:15 PM) I think for Gold investments, it is a known fact that there is no yield,... it is not a dividend play,... if you want returns, you have to sell,.... Speaking of australia, I have research. None of the banks allow malaysian to open brokerage account. All need either one of the following:After reading all the above, I discovered one counter in the ASX that is a 'reverse performance' counter, ie, there are many short positions as its underlyings,... this counter will do very well when the mkt crashes,... and this counter still pays a dividend,.. the code is ALF,... AU bank account/AU address/AU tax resident Only Halifax and capital19 allow you to open an account as foreigner. Capital19 is cheaper than Halifax but requires one to make a deposit of AUD10k. Gone la of buying Australian stocks. |
