Make no sense for reit to up so drastically, Capitalmall reit from 1.96 last Friday, today 2.08.
Reit also can play contra and make decent gain!

The only explanation is bond yield dropped severely, which make reit yield become attractive,

if u hv been watching capmall, it is special - fairly volatile, probably due to its large cap, foreign funds at play.

and u r right, this one can trade.

i have said a few times in this thread - i do that 2-3 times a year! rclxms.gif

just be mindful that capmall and suntec are fairly volatile.

div will be declared in mid jul, price may go higher then.

if price is good enough, i may sell them.

then wait to buy back again later.

i agree. i also on standby to sell Capmall & suntec.
It normally will move up when nearer to div.

and the capital gain is more than the div received.

suntec... wait for 1.80.

there is news that brexit is causing some huge funds going into sgx and hkx.

ALL the Negativity(pun intended) will drive investors to seek some returns from dividends.
reits may see some more action due to Feds' expected dovish stance(What's new?) biggrin.gif

I sold fraser centerpoint too as it hits 52 weeks high and yield dips below 6%... It is amazing how reits had turnaround from roughly 9months to now.. Everyone was bearish on reits due to feds rate hike, to now ppl are bullish about it bcs of brexit and funds are flocking to high yield assets smile.gif

ya, 9 months ago in aug-sep, many reits were at their lows or way off highs.

keppel dc was at 0.96 in jan 16.

every year, there are a couple of unique opportunities to buy or to sell these int rate sensitive reits.

the game is catch them right and yet get the dividends! biggrin.gif
