Is not that we need quad core. We need performance. I can't talk for all quad core phones coz I don't have them. But I talk for s3. Does it deliver? Comparing with my ipad performance is a little better on my iPad although I am nit picking. there are things that is noticeably slow on S3. Opening Skype is about 5 seconds slower on s3.and browsing on chrome can notice frame rate drop a little. And sometimes s3 returning to menu it takes a few seconds pause before it displays especially after a heavy app. But after all that I still prefer the overall experience on S3 coz it get things done. And the multitasking works better on s3. So quad core all dual core doesn't mean anything to me. It's the overall experience.

+1 .... same here.

Added on September 11, 2012, 3:58 pmlike ur pc is core i3 with xp, nothing much diff in speed, as xp cant fully utilize the dual core.xp develop that time year 2000 still no dual core...

then u upgrade ur pc to win7 with same hardware... i will not look back to xp anymore...

....

so when ur win7 run with core i3, u will ask for core i5 also if possible... why? win7can deliver so many things.. so u launch this and launch that... then soon u feel lag lioa... then think how nice if it is core i5...

so same thinking goes to handphone dual core or quad core

But s3 quad core consider as mobile phone highest processor it's like i7 not i3.

Furthermore this i3, i5 and i7 real computer are customizable and upgradable.

Your s3 is not so you can't really compare.

If lag I can change the processor or add ram.

For me I more concern on resell value.

For desktop since its customizable and upgradable I will get a spec that can last me at least 5 years.

Resell value is for those who intends to sell their phone at some point. For me I never sell my phones. I just give them to My wife. Then my wife Give to my kids. So that is how I recycle my phones. So price drop is actually good for me as I can get my phones cheaper.

JB jailbreak?

The reason i worry about resell value because i want experience both world. Able to enjoy the latest phone and still depreciate less and still get to use that money (difference of the depreciating) for other investment rather than donate all to manufacturers.

If 1 year depreciate 1k in 3 years the phones i depreciate at least 3k.
If two phones depreciate 6k

I'm happy enough wit the performance of the iPhone 4S despite being dual core. If I were to buy a Samsung, it is because I want bigger screen.

Quad core means nothing if it sucks battery life and people showing it off just for the sake of benchmark.

I'd go for iPhone 5 but the 0.5" difference with no width increase is just frustrating especially when I type in portrait more.

Oh that! Jelly Bean is damn smooth. I tried it on a colleague's Google Nexus. The voice input is impressive, and dare I say much faster than Siri.

have you notice iphone keyboard are pretty accurate even the screen is small. My HTC One X even so big screen so hard to type further more i am those type of person can type without looking on physical keyboard.

For me why i prefer iphone their updates are amazingly fast and even older generation phones/ipad are still supporting latest games. Like my bro ipad 1 it still can play all the latest games like batman arkham something, asphalt 7, reckless 2 and etc.

When you use even it crashes it restart and once a blue moon might hang. When they have better camera on android ill consider changing.

not really interested there many more stuff i need to focus in life rather than research on those things. Too technical.

For me is usablity, stability, durability and most important camera.

If you are free do summarized so we can learn from you. Thanks biggrin.gif
