QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ May 23 2013, 09:31 PM) HiVi x5 will be made available next shipment and will complete our X series full range offering to fellow Malaysians. It will come with a price tag of rm 2999 a pair. In case you have never listened to any before. X series is hivi's flagship which has a sound signature of both hivi and swan. All the models are powered by monobloc and accepts balance connection except for the x3. It does have dual mono design but only accept non-balance connection. All speakers share similar sound signature and even the same tweeter X5 is 2999 or 3999? first you write 2999 then below you write 3999 X3 - Rm999 X4 - Rm1999 X5 - Rm3999 X6 - Rm5299 Most of them will be at least 10% higher than chinese local price due to our local sales tax that custom charges us. Everything will have ready stock in Malaysia. You can audition before you buy. |

I'm in love with the H10~
at 50% volume on satellite, master volume and system, which translates to just 12.5% volume, already fills the room. INcreasing master to 75% makes the sub ROAR, and yet no any weird sounds or whatever my previous sp2500 sub will have some sort of a rattling sound if I ever play this loud =/ the song #thatPOWER has a very surprising bass level, totally shakes the whole house, literally lol. If I play that song too much, I'm worried I might have to replace some shattered windows I just hope my volume levels are not too high, it feels really because of the output level(SPL?) but technically its barely 25% lol XD |

QUOTE(mizumi @ Jun 14 2013, 05:44 PM) *do note i'm talking about the sp2500 and not the awesome H10*when there is a high bass scene going on, there's this thing which I think is known as "port noise" . I think that was the issue. I mean it wasn't really a problem as I don't push it all the time, but when I do, its a lil disappointing that it does that. But of course, no such thing with the H10 |

QUOTE(jchong @ Jun 17 2013, 06:37 PM) actually the rattling sound comes when I put my ears really close to the port. It really sounds like the bass driver isnt screwed properly to the box lol. and when there are REALLY deep bass scene and the volume is REALLY loud, i can definitely hear loud wind like sound coming out of the sub, which just shouldn't be there. Oh god, now my H10 is making my toilet door rattle while playing bass heavy musics I think it might have been shaking the screws on the door the past two months, so only now its rattling zzzz. |

Only after getting this sub I understand what you guys mean by cheap speaker having "one note bass" sub. its so hard to find similar sounding bass with this sub while listening to all kinds of songs!! sort of a revelation lol.
and I really have to go listen the X series. Finding it seriously hard to believe that a 2.0 will have a good level of bass( I'm now "confident" to listen to these speakers without getting poisoned simply because I've spend a full desktop PC worth of money on a set of speakers, and i'm definitely not gonna do something like that anytime soon :lol) Thank you cyntrixtech for bringing a seriously nice brand here, since I was actually thinking of going the amp, passive speakers way before this, but the hassle and extra space for the amp has always put me off, and I was always wanting something about the same level, but still uses PC sort of connection, this H series is exactly that This post has been edited by arslow: Jun 18 2013, 02:14 AM |

Might come over somewhere around the end of this month if I can. Thats definitely great, I recommended a few of my friends the M10, but for them, even that is overpriced, not because they can't afford it, but casual users just can't justify those kinds of prices for speakers. Hopefully there will be some really good 150-250 bucks speakers from you guys soon

Am wondering, are there any external DACs for 5.1 ch use? All of the popular ones seems to only support stereo

QUOTE(isildur88 @ Jan 15 2014, 11:30 PM) arslow. how is the H4 + H10 combi. thinkin of getting the H10 to pair with my H4(its already awesome enuf but need more punch in bass, even so with only H4's, my room door can rattle d) if even with the H4 you can rattle the door, expect to change your door once the H10 comes in XDThis thing can shake the whole room IF the source is very high in bass. Its not like those dumb Logitech subs where it will produce very deep bass even if its not suppose to be that deep(and of course it ends up muddy). I really like how each songs bass sounds different unlike my previous SP2500 where the bass basically sounds about the same for pretty much every song. Trust me, the best part of the Swan purchase for me is the sub as its the part that has surprised me the most |

QUOTE(ktek @ Jan 16 2014, 12:11 PM) got! any home theater AV receiver got 5.1 DAC inside. from burr brown, cirrus logic, analog device to wolfson semua ada. usually digital conenction given is SPDIF coaxial, optical and HDMI. no usb input like stereo DAC in the market. so basically if I want a 5.1 external DAC brands like schiit, audio-gd, Cambridge, JDS lab are out right? I basically need to look at brands like denon, pioneer, JVC, etc right? wow, that seems like a whole different ballgame lol. Even the size of those things are like 10 times bigger than those stereo external DACs Top grade models use independent DAC for each channel, means 7.1 got 8 DAC working inside. u can look for pre-out to connect powered speaker like swan or hivi set. depending on ur room size, big room might need 2x H10 |

QUOTE(munak991 @ Jan 16 2014, 09:42 PM) not worth, if u get stand alone DAC is not very worthy... cause it sole purpose is to use for 5.1 channel But I thought the main difference between Ext DAC and AV receiver is that those AV receivers include amp, which is not required for powered speakers like Swan? Get AV better like Onkyo/Yamaha |

QUOTE(ktek @ Jan 17 2014, 01:13 AM) stereo DAC can only process 2 channel wave PCM. as simple as "data in sound out". Thats the problem. As good as the H series swan speakers sounds, its still not SUPER AWESOME that it warrants me getting some really expensive DAC for it. So I guess some low/mid range receiver, and maybe not 2014 model, maybe a lil older(or maybe even second hand), might be more fitting and yet produce much better sound than my current Xonar Dx. Its an OK idea right?any modern avr can do 6/8 channel wave PCM, dolby lossless and dts lossless, plus some of the DSP tuning, HRTF headphone and virtual surround anyway, my main point is 5.1 channel DAC. dont be surprise when u find high grade DAC are fitted in AV receiver and properly implemented power supply. there was once i brought an old yamaha avr to test along with asus xonar essense one, most listeners cannot differentiate the quality between these two DAC from lossless audio. cambridge audio do have AV receiver in their product range. marantz does warm sound musical, yamaha with great soundstage and dont forget sony that invested in SACD. u can use pre-out RCA that provide low level signal to feed powered speaker set. hmm.. not sure how far u want to go, separate components like surround decoder without amp also available in the market. just prepare for double-triple fold price |

QUOTE(ktek @ Jan 17 2014, 03:15 PM) no idea regarding ifi products... Eh? I tought you were recommending me to get a receiver with pre out? Why suddenly no use? :confused:no use. X4 is market as nearfield studio monitor, not playback speaker. Myself i have not listened to x4, but got once purchase a pair of wharfedale monitor. It seems right for everything, except the dry sound which i dont feel comfort to listen long hours hope u get what i mean Was looking at the yamaha 575,connect a hdmi cable from my graphic card to the receiver then from the pre out connect the H series system. Once I get more speakers I'll just connect them to the rear of the Subwoofer. Isn't that right? |

So I guess if my hands really itchy I should jus go for a soundblaster Z rather than a full blown receiver
Maybe think about receivers once I upgrade to something like klipsch floor standers and a velodyne sub |
