HiVi x5 will be made available next shipment and will complete our X series full range offering to fellow Malaysians. It will come with a price tag of rm 2999 a pair. In case you have never listened to any before. X series is hivi's flagship which has a sound signature of both hivi and swan. All the models are powered by monobloc and accepts balance connection except for the x3. It does have dual mono design but only accept non-balance connection. All speakers share similar sound signature and even the same tweeter

Most of them will be at least 10% higher than chinese local price due to our local sales tax that custom charges us.

What do you mean by rattling? As in the sub internal components rattling?

Just a note that port noise won't sound like rattling. If you heard rattling that's another issue.

arslow. how is the H4 + H10 combi. thinkin of getting the H10 to pair with my H4(its already awesome enuf but need more punch in bass, even so with only H4's, my room door can rattle d)

got! any home theater AV receiver got 5.1 DAC inside. from burr brown, cirrus logic, analog device to wolfson semua ada. usually digital conenction given is SPDIF coaxial, optical and HDMI. no usb input like stereo DAC in the market.

Top grade models use independent DAC for each channel, means 7.1 got 8 DAC working inside. u can look for pre-out to connect powered speaker like swan or hivi set.
depending on ur room size, big room might need 2x H10

not worth, if u get stand alone DAC is not very worthy... cause it sole purpose is to use for 5.1 channel
Get AV better like Onkyo/Yamaha

stereo DAC can only process 2 channel wave PCM. as simple as "data in sound out".
any modern avr can do 6/8 channel wave PCM, dolby lossless and dts lossless, plus some of the DSP tuning, HRTF headphone and virtual surround

anyway, my main point is 5.1 channel DAC. dont be surprise when u find high grade DAC are fitted in AV receiver and properly implemented power supply.
there was once i brought an old yamaha avr to test along with asus xonar essense one, most listeners cannot differentiate the quality between these two DAC from lossless audio.
cambridge audio do have AV receiver in their product range. marantz does warm sound musical, yamaha with great soundstage and dont forget sony that invested in SACD.

u can use pre-out RCA that provide low level signal to feed powered speaker set.

hmm.. not sure how far u want to go, separate components like surround decoder without amp also available in the market. just prepare for double-triple fold price

no use. X4 is market as nearfield studio monitor, not playback speaker. Myself i have not listened to x4, but got once purchase a pair of wharfedale monitor. It seems right for everything, except the dry sound which i dont feel comfort to listen long hours

hope u get what i mean
